What a great week of doll fun!! From the debut of Saige to more photos of what you got over the holidays to photos of our crafts that you made, this week’s showcase just makes me smile.
Claire and her dolls had so much fun with our microphone craft. I absolutely LOVE the karaoke machine Claire made out of a tin container! Chrissa and Anna are having a Rockin’ New Year with their new microphone and karaoke machine!
Julia’s dolls are wondering when they can go play in the snow.
Brinley’s McKenna enjoys a nice winter day.
From Sophie – My dolls Sara, McKenna and Isabella celebrating on for the new year with a pajama party trying to stay up all night ( I don’t think they can do it!).
From Alyssa – Here’s McKenna with one of my Holiday cookies my dolls and I made. It was so much fun! You can easily make these with flour, water, and salt, bake them, and decorate with whatever you want. Visit my blog here to see more pictures of the cookies.
From Sophie T – Happy New Year from our dolls! They celebrated in their new upcycled dresses (all three made from wine bags found at the dollar store!). Hats, noise makers and banner were those suggested by Doll Diaries! Thanks for the idea, we had fun doing this craft!
Diana sent in this great photo showing the basket of Saige’s balloon and how you can fit two dolls in it.
Naomi added Saige to her paper doll world next to Kenna and Cora. There are more photos of paper Saige with the rest of her collection on her blog (http://paper-doll-world.
From Hannah – Gwen, Chrissa, and Sonali outside in the snow.
Madelon’s mini Molly took an adventure to Montreal and had her picture taken waiting on a bench for the Metro.
Abigail’s Rebecca modeling the Metallic Trench coat she won a few weeks ago.
Another photo from Diana – Saige and her new friends. Gabi riding Picasso and wearing a t-shirt with his picture, Saige on her horse Georgia wearing her new Saige t-shirt, Tessa walking her favorite Morgan horse, wearing the outfit I made and finally Nicki walking a new foal and wearing the Doll Diaries t-shirt. Thank you it looks great with the western outfit. I love to exchange pieces of outfits and make new looks.
Libbie was the winner of the Victorian Trundle bed from The Queen’s Treasures. “Thank you SOOOO Much For the doll bed! I received Cecile for Christmas from Santa and I thought that she would be perfect for it! First we got a notice on New Years eve that the bed had come so we went to go pick it up, but it wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday So when Wednesday finally came, my dad took me to the post office and we picked it up. What surprised me was how light it was! I know that’s a silly thing to be surprised about, but by the way it looked I thought it was going to be much heavier. I was so excited when I opened it! First I opened it looked at it, then brought it upstairs into my room and set it all up in my little doll room. That afternoon I skyped some of my cousins to show them. The next time they come to stay, there will be an extra bed for one of their dolls.”
From Noelle – Eva & Hailey are chatting in there new iPhones from the doll play tutorial this summer they love their iPhones.
From Isabella – I asked the other DD readers to help me. Cleo’s leg broke halfway, and I was really mad! I covered it in white duck tape and wrote mini signatures on it to make it look like a cast. Allie (DD reader) told me that I should use chopsticks to make the crutches. I tried, and it turned out great! Thanks Allie!
From Agnieszka – It’s January in Poland and no snow… and no sunshine… My town looks so dark and grey. If it wasn’t for my colorful and optimistic Helenka (Sophie Fiona by Kathe Kruse) who went for a walk with me, I think I could start feeling a little depressed… So thank goodness for dolls!
From Jordy – “I put my dolls Fey (Rebecca) and Celeste (Caroline) in their original meet outfits and took them outside. I was experimenting with natural lighting (I also did some photo editing). Then I went on picmonkey and made this collage. Hope you like!
From Kathy – Many thanks to you for the roomy Springfield doll armoire! Here is a picture of Caroline and Christine putting away their clothes in their new armoire. You may notice Samantha in the background taking down the Christmas ornaments. Caroline has her thank you note to Doll Diaries in her hand, ready to mail in the morning. Happy New Year to everyone!
Here is the modified version of the purse Ava made after Karen’t craft on Friday.
From Rachel – Kathleen and Samantha decided to stay up until midnight and celebrate with the cool 2013 printables. Happy New Year!
From Bethany – Kit got up early to do some computer work this morning. I made the monitor out of cardboard, construction paper, and transparent paper. The key board is just cardboard and a picture from the Internet. And the mouse and mouse pad are made out of craft foam. I hope to later make more screens for the monitor. I hope you like this idea.
From Morgan – This is Samantha. I got this gown for Christmas. It is absolutely stunning on her. It is a Victorian style dress.
From Venus – My dolls pose for a pic on “Shunday Sowcase”! These are the three GOTYs from 2011-2013. We hope to add more GOTY sisters to the family for many years to come.
From Hannah – Our dolls dressed up as different Disney princesses. On the top there is Julie ( Rapunzel), Chrissa ( Mulan), Samantha ( Snow White), Gwen ( Aurora), Felicity (Merida), Kaya ( Pochahantas). In the first row, there is Sonali (Jasmine), Skylar ( Tiana), Kit ( Cinderella), Molly ( Belle), and Logan ( Ariel).
From Ashleigh – “Try a bridge, like this! It’s the easiest.” Says McKenna as she tries to teach the new girls, Phoebe and Zelia, all she knows about gymnastics.
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
