Happy Sunday everyone! The sun is shining, I survived chaperoning the all-district chorus event, and I am glad to be back in my office with reliable high speed internet again!! Let’s take a look at what you sent in to share this week!
From Vivienne – Kanani had a fashion show and these are some of the outfits. The first one is Chrissa’s Meet outfit, the next is a shirt my mom had for one of her dolls and Julie”s meet pants, and the last is Chrissa’s Dress and MAG rainboots.
From Diana – When Cyndi arrived in New York City she stayed with Julie and Ivy (long hair Ivy). Here are the pixs Cyndi took of the Chinese New Year (year of the Snake)clebration. She got to see the Lion Dance performed for the first time. What an adventure!
Also from Diana – Earlier in February, in Louisiana, New Orleans, the Mardi Gras took place. Marie Grace attended the Children’s Ball and made a new friend Jacqueline. Jacqueline was dress as Marie Antoinette. (dress, mask and shoes made by me) Wow what a week of adventures.
From Agnieszka – This is how Amelia and I like to spend Sunday mornings.
From Gracekelly – Here is Sammi (Samantha) posing in felicity’s travel dress .She looks so cute in a donut bun!!
Also from Gracekelly – Marie Grace on her first day here in July from eBay.
From Allison – Here are my dolls Saige and Caroline.
From Ava – Last Friday I went to American Girl Place NYC and got Saige! I love her to pieces and she has great hair and looks good in anything! I totally recommend her.
Madelon found fashion dolls from the new movie OZ Great and Powerful at Target – from left to right it is Glinda, Theodora and China Girl.
From Diana – This is a Target Our Generation outfit. It is in the stores now, but not online. It retails for $16.95 comes with raincoat, hat, boots and plastic purse. The umbrella I had. Saige looks ready to battle the rain.
From Saoirse – These are Slyvanian Families. They are only available in UK and Ireland. They are soooooooo cute! Sylvanian Familes is a unique and adorable range of distinctive animal characters with charming and beautifully detailed homes, furniture and accessories. They live, work and play in the idyllic and wonderful land of Sylvania.
More from Diana – Thought I would share what a little imagination can do. I was at Target a couple days ago and I found this dress it is by Disney for the My 1st Baby Disney doll. It was the only one left and had no price, so the target employee sold it to me for $2.99. When I saw it I thought it would fit the H4H doll, so with a little sewing skills I adjusted the width around the waist and magic happened. It fits! I had no shoes, so I made her some sandals using white foam and pink ribbon. I re-did her hair and tied a pink bow. She is now ready for the party!
From Nina – A few days ago, I found these St. Patrick’s Day hats at Walgreens for $1.99! The pack had 6 hats in it. I think it was a pretty good deal!
From Amber – My new doll Faith from P31.
From Tony – Evening entertainment! Jane (Marie-Grace) enjoys playing the harp for her family and friends.
From Natalia – was browsing for pics for the photo contest, when I found this. It’s a picture I took in the summer, of my doll Alyssa (27) smelling the violets. The grass, sunshine and flowers, sure make me wish that winter would be leaving from where I live. Snow is more than ankle deep!!!!!! I think that the picture shows how my photography improved from when I look at older pictures! I hope you like it!
From Mad – I really liked the outcome of my messing around with McKenna’s hair, so I took some pictures.
From Quita – My new doll and I made her necklace.
From Venus – Amazing Amy loves the Hello Kitty plushie that her mom Venus used to sleep with every night, until Amy took it away from her.
From Julia – Saige is resting in the hotel room after a long day exploring Washington D.C.
From Lisa – Vaidilute’s jacket is made from Carpatina’s Caracao jacket pattern, and the skirt, again, is just a rectangle of fabric gathered into a waistband. I used the embroidery stitching on my new machine to do the fancy trim around the skirt of the jacket.
Also from Lisa – Oneca’s skirt was for the Day of the Dead, and it’s just a simple gathered skirt with a ribbon tied around the waist and her original shirt. Her hat was a mini costume hat I picked up at Target.
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
Have a great week! Oh, and while I am thinking about it – how about we take a look at retired American Girl MIA and her collection. If you have Mia or any of her items, take photos and send them!
