Where has this year gone? I can not believe it is December already. Are you ready to have a look at all the beautiful photos readers have sent in this week? Let’s start!
Among my friends there is always a secret “contest” to see who will be sending out Christmas cards first. It looks like Kathryn is first for us! Top row- Nicky, Kirsten, Kit, Mia. Row 2- Lindsey, Cecile, Kaylee, Julie. Bottom Row- Jly 13 (Sarah) Felicity, Ivy, My bitty baby Ginger.
From ChrissaLlama – This is my doll Ivy that I got over the summer at the American Girl store in Denver. She looks good in anything! So when it snowed again I decided I would go do a photo shoot in my backyard. You can see more of these photos on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.
Sophie made uneven bars for her doll out of the frame pieces of a toy bin. How creative!
From Kaylee – When I was taking some pictures of Kailey, I realized her pajamas looked like a candy cane! It was perfect since I was decorating and dressing my dolls for Christmas earlier. Here comes Candy Cane Kailey!
From Olivia – I have a picture of my dolls for the Sunday Showcase!!! All of my dolls had a closet-switch day. They all found a retired outfit and wore it for the day. Standing from left to right: Elizabeth, Samantha, Felicity (in Samantha’s desk), Marisol, Kirsten. Sitting from left to right: Chrissa, Camille, Lanie, a JLY (I have no idea what number), and Ruthie. I realized today that all of my dolls are retires except for Camille (But she’s a Corolle not American Girl) and Ruthie. And also as a starring role, we have my finger!!!!
From Ashleigh – McKenna is coming home after a long day at school to hang out with her BFF Lilly. Hopefully she hasn’t left for the doll hospital yet.
From Karis – My mom bought me Dana from the Journey Girls Collection. She’s really pretty! I gave her glasses to Julie and I renamed Dana, Claire. American Girl clothes can fit Journey Girls but some are baggy. Tee-shirts such as Sonali’s, souvenir tops, Chrissa’s warm up tee, and the hiking top all fit Claire but NONE of the pants fit them just as a warning. Claire’s meet outfit fits AG dolls except her pants are tight but other than that they fit well.
From Agnieszka -Dell looking for the last traces of green before winter.
From Saoirse – I just got the new Christmas dress from American girl doll. And my doll Rebecca was only too happy to model it for me. Merry Christmas! I mean Merry early Christmas!?
From Sabrina – My doll Charlotte and I went to the American Girl store in LA. We had lunch there! I am going to send Char a trip report on Sunday. My doll is wearing a custom party dress my Grandma made.
From Noelle – Brrrr it’s cold we’ll who cares it’s a Snow Day in Canada!
From Jasmine – Thanksgiving Feast! The big one on the left is a picture of me and my sister’s dolls all gathered together for Thanksgiving Dinner. The top one on the right is a picture of some of the food, and you can see your Thanksgiving picture there as well. The 2nd one on the right column is a picture of the turkey hats that I made with Karen’s tutorial. The 3rd one is another glance at some of the other food, including the turkey, which I made myself using MyFroggyStuff’s tutorial. The last picture is a picture of the entire table, with little napkins and the rest of the food.
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
