Will your dolls be having a Valentine’s Ball or something special for the occasion? Kelly (from MyDollBoutique.co.uk) and her girls share how to make Valentine’s masquerade masks for your dolls today!
This Valentine’s mask is so cute and easy to make for your American Girl Dolls to wear this Valentine’s day.
Use your doll’s face as a template, then start by cutting a pointed heart shape out of a card or spare gift bags as we have. You can make any shape just by using the doll’s head as template for correct size and mark eyes position.
Cut the eye holes out very carefully then add feathers, gems, sequins, heart decorations anything you wish to make your mask glamorous. We have chosen white feathers then added some cute bows.
We also came up with a different shape mask much wider it reminds us of a Masquerade mask. We used gel glitter pens for some sparkle around the eyes. Then added wooden heart decorations that were originally part of a child’s wooden jewelry ring set.
We also decided to use more of our arts and crafts box by using glue and food sprinkles for the mouth and toothpicks to give a cat look to Caroline’s mask then painted them. A simple but glamorous look for the Ball!
Remember to add some nice ribbon or string for a nice finsh.
Caroline is ready for the ball!
We hope you have lots of fun and can’t wait to see some love for your dolls this Valentine’s Day!
