Now this is what I call a true Mother/Daughter event!! The American Girl Fashion Show in Seattle, Washington that is going on this weekend is sponsored by the Vera Bradley company and hosted by Star Guild. American Girl dolls and fabulous Vera Bradley purses and luggage – no wonder this annual event to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital uncompensated care continues to raise over $100,000 each year.
Tickets were $55 and include a 2 hour event, an assigned seat for the American Girl Fashion Show®, beverages and a meal, entrance to the American Girl Marketplace where American Girl Fashion Souvenirs, and American Girls Books can be purchased, and a special goody bag for the girls. There were two sessions on Saturday and two on Sunday. According to the Star Guild Facebook page the event is completely sold out.
On the Vera Bradley Facebook page they posted photos of the event, including these that I have featured here. I love the dolls being carried in the Vera Bradley backpack! If any Doll Diaries readers went to the show and would like to share their experience and/or photos, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is video of the segment done on a Seattle morning show covering the event:
It looks like a fabulous event with a special twist all for a great cause!
