It is not just me who can. not. wait. for the Summer Olympics in London to begin in July, but Blair – our Going in Circles Ellowyne Wilde – is ready! She did a quick photo shoot for us this morning and here are my two favorite photos.
Blair borrowed an outfit from the Journey Girls and I just pinned the white shorts in the back and used a piece of ribbon for a belt for the shirt. She loves her high heeled sandals so she kept them on (and the Journey Girl sandals that came with the outfit do not fit her). The purse is also from the Journey Girl outfit. The Harrods of London background is actually a really pretty tote bag I picked up while I was in London earlier this year and I added a red scarf for her to stand on to bring it all together.
The close up shows you her pretty face and that the top – which is made for 18″dolls – fits like a boatneck on Ellowyne, but it still works. PS – I first noticed this outfit when Elizabeth had one of her Ellowynes wearing it in a photo she posted on Facebook. I just happened to see it at Toys R Us last week and knew the Ellowynes wanted it. The shorts will not fit American Girl dolls but they do fine on the 18″ slimmer body girls.

how do ellowyne wigs work? arent they flimsy?
Gail – all of my Ellowynes have rooted hair, so I don’t have first hand experience with their wigs. However, from what I understand the dolls have a velcro spot on their scalps to hold the wig in place.
Char, I know u have five ellowyned, but what ones r they? I know u have going in circles dark days, raw edges, but who else? I knew u had five because I asked on a different post and when is the may rpc (reader photo contest)? Today’s my REAL bday by the way

I wish the Olympics were in Argentina. In middle school I had to sing songs from the Beijing Olympics in 2009 and 2010. I wish the French class took their turn the following year, but alas we sang again. If the Olympics were in Argentina, that would be hilarious watching the Spanish class “sing”
