Yesterday while waiting for Megan to be done at dance, Natalie and I headed over to A.C. Moore so she could pick up more Sculpey clay and we could get a gift for a friend. I wasn’t really in a shopping mood, but had to check out the Springfield Dolls area so I could see if there was anything new. There was! Let’s take a look.

Springfield Dolls

This is a cute little outfit – a sleeveless tunic with an asymmetrical hemline and blue leggings.

I found this to be an interesting take on a dance outfit – tulle is definitely a trend and this skirt could be worn for dance or as everyday wear. The top is stretchy and from a distance I thought it was a leotard.

Springfield Dolls

Footie pajamas!! How cute are these? I took a photo of the tag because you can’t really tell what this is when it is on the hanger. The Springfield dolls are a bit thinner than many 18″ soft bodied dolls and I wonder if they will be too snug on some.

This fancy dress looks black in the photo but it is really more of a navy/midnight blue. The sequined skirt is cute complete with a bow.

The polka-dot peplum and skinny teal jeans outfit is hands down Natalie’s favorite – she would absolutely love this outfit in her size!

Springfield Dolls

Cute! A pink peace sign sweatshirt with dark wash jean shorts. Springfield is definitely taking cues from what the girls today are wearing.

You can’t go wrong with a t-shirt and leggings. I will caution you though – black/dark leggings should not be left on the dolls too long as you may get dye transfer. I know all of the companies are working hard to make sure their items do not bleed color at all, but you can never be too sure. Here is a trick though – you can always put a pair of white/light color tights on your doll first and then put the dark items over top.

Springfield Dolls

Sparkly flats! I think they must have taken inspiration from Anna on these. They look like sparkly flat she would make.

Polka dot high tops – so much fun! Natalie loved these too!

I think these pink framed glasses are new, too.

Each store (Joann, Michael’s and A.C. Moore) has a different amount of space dedicated to the Springfield Collection and they don’t always get the same items. I am sure there are more new items, but these are what our local store had in stock. All of the Springfield Collection was 30% off and the outfits tend to be either $9.99 or $12.99 depending on how complex the piece is. All three retailers have coupons, so you can usually get the Springfield items even cheaper.

Springfield does have an online store, but as of this morning, none of these items was listed on it.

Again, I was not in a shopping mood at all last night, so I didn’t buy anything, but I am going to watch the sales and may go back and get the first outfit and the peplum outfit eventually.

What do you think of this year’s release? Have you seen other new pieces from Springfield?
