It’s official! Caroline Abbott is the new American Girl historical character and everything from her collection to her contest to her app and more have been added to the American Girl store along with all the fall releases for MyAG and Bitty Baby, too.

We are definitely going to go see her in the store! I’m so thinking of getting her. I also think the MyAG nightstand, and the gingerbread house is also on my Christmas list! If I get Caroline Abbott, I want that winter coat. I love the royal blue, and white faux fur.
Ugh! Just got done with school. I wish I could go to a AG store to see her collection! I ordered a bunch, and can’t wait till it comes!!!!!
She’s here! I pre-ordered through a PS and the doll just arrived. The doll is very pretty — her eyes are much closer to green than blue. My 8 year old DD has declared that she loves her and that it’s now her favorite doll (which means she gets the one real doll bed we have). I would send photos, but I don’t think I’ll be seeing that doll for a few hours.
Sue – how exciting – if you happen to catch a glimpse of her, get a few photos.
I like Caroline’s blue winter coat, but I’m sure I could make one for half that price.

Ok, so some ideas have been crossing through my mind on what to make my video about. Here are some of my ideas…
-The time when I visited my Grandpa in the Hospital, cause he had cancer (heartbreaking!).
-The time when I stood up for what I believed in.
-The time we went out and passed hamburgers to people at a park (alot of homeless people there).
-The time I went tubing in rough waters
Which sounds most intresting? I’m thinking either the hamburgers, tubing, or the one about my Grandpa.
I’m kind of dispointed with the contest…But maybe I will still enter it. Also I’m upset with the prices. But I love Caroline

Oh, and I looked back at the video very closely. I realized that the dining stuff was there, but you can’t see it very well at all because of a glare.

I just got my catalog. I may order the Bitty Baby Gingerbread puzzle house. It comes w/ a cute little tree and it’s reversible so there’s a different house on each side. For $12 that’s not bad.

I read somewhere on this site that someone thought that Caroline’s bed looked too modern, like a Disney Princess bed. I received my catalog yesterday, and I have to respectfully disagree. Caroline’s bed is perfect!!! I did a tour of several historic homes for Knoxville’s History Days a couple of weeks ago, and Caroline’s bed looks JUST like one I saw in the children’s bedroom at Blount Mansion. I love how it has the ropes to tighten under the mattress so one could “sleep tight”.
I don’t collect the furniture; but if I did, I would buy that bed and the table and chairs. I like those sets even better than Felicity’s (though they cost a lot more now!).
I am saving up to buy her gorgeous coral dress, spencer jacket, and hat; and the equally beautiful parlor dress and holiday dress. I also like her skating coat. Everything but her meet dress is awesome!
ps- I use Josefina’s spencer jacket and party dress already when I dress my dolls regency style. I recommend checking it out if you are going to own Caroline or dress the dolls like 1812.
