Good point Lena but sometimes i feel like i’m paying more for less
for example coconut in 2004 -2008 he had a leash, certficate ,and a cool dog bone for 18$ and now fo22$ you get a dog and collar . not a big price difference but look what we get now and look what we used to get.
I meant to say for 22$
Inflation, combined with rising costs to produce.
Also, the bone was removed for safey concerns (mostly because people buy for little kids and not the recomended 8+) because it was magnetized.
I really like the car for a lot of reasons but I dont like the price tag. one of my biggest faults with AG is the price on some of their items. Yes, they usually make pretty good quality items and I have things that have been around for many years from them but I think to put a price of $350 on something is a little too much. I know you can get the Jeep for Our Generation Dolls at Target for around $40?? I think..maybe a little more but that is a lot less than this car is. I do like the way it lights up and the horn and at the end when she puts the dolls in the car, that was really cute. I wonder if the trunk and engine will eventually fall apart- the door coming off- they sure were squeaky. Anyway, if I had the extra money would I buy it?? Maybe and that is a long maybe. I would rather go to the AG store and buy a lot of clothes and accessories than to buy this one thing.
Its so awesome! I got an american girl doll catolouge today and inside as soon i saw the vw i knew i had to get it
i hope ill get it this fall, but i don’t have the money
I love the car but not the price tag I have Julie and the car fits the personality I made for her wich is a sporty girl and I really want the car I was at my second. Cousins house last night and I looked at the magizene and also noticed the my AG dolls have some new stuff also McKenna did have 2 new things
Friends Boutique has a cute red convertible car for $30.
These dolls are representing 8-11 year olds. Why would they have a car?
Lena: what’s a bone? when did they have it in and why? And which dolls mag, goty or hc?
char you make a lot of posts cool
@Carol Technically, they’re supposed to be washing it; AG has cleverly marketed it as part of a car wash set. But the kids playing with it probably don’t care if their dolls can “legally” drive.
I love this car!!! I wish I could afford it.
Then I would buy it for sure!
