Karen here and Valentines Day is just a few weeks away. I have always loved making things out of items I have on hand and can find easily around the house. I used a paper punch I have had for years to make my hearts but you can use scissors to create equally wonderful and amazing doll sized valentines for your dolls. I also used the paper hearts I cut out as decorations for my dolls room.

To make your own you will need.

  • Construction Paper
  • Stickers
  • Markers
  • Tape
  • Duck Tape
  • Heart Shaped Paper Punch and /or  Scissors
  • A Small Box

Step 1- Assemble all your supplies and begin cutting out your paper hearts. Cut as many as you think you will need. For the box I needed three and then two for the Valentines my dolls are holding.

Step 2- Cover the band-aid box with Duct Tape. You can use any pattern you like. Do not seal the bottom of your box with tape so that you can remove the Valentines later

Step 3- Have a grown up help you cut a slit in the top of the box so that you can slip the Valentine cards in.

Step 4- Decorate your box front. I layered three hearts with tape and tape loops. Then I wrote my dolls name on the front and added a small sticker.

Step 5- Use a marker to write out your dolls Valentines, use stickers to dress them up or leave them plain.

I decorated my doll room with the extra hearts I cut out. I lined the window with them and used tape loops to hold them into place. This was easy and a fun way to add some holiday fun to my fold-able American Doll Room.
