The Ty company has already ruffled our new First Lady’s feathers and they did so by introducing two new dolls in their TyGirlz line coincindentally named Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha. CNN reports that First Lady Michelle Obama is upset that the toy company is using private citizens (her daughters) as marketing tools, but the Ty company denies this is the case.
So you be the judge:
Are the Ty Girlz Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha inspired by the nation’s first little ladies or not? Is the Ty company out of bounds with this one or not?
Malia has an adorable outfit though.

ya no the way i said dat the obama girls might be on hannah montana well it says on disney channel that there is a new episode on valetines day. they MIGHT be in it. it could just be a rumour and sienna why should they be called the Bush Girls don’t you mean the Obama Girls?

I never really thought of the Obama girls as private citizens… it’s interesting. Those dolls are retired now though- they weren’t even out that wrong. Sienna could be right, the First Lady might be making a big deal out of it for publicity… but you never know. Those dolls definitely look like they’re supposed to be the Obama girls. But if Ty made a doll of me, I wouldn’t really be upset. I wonder if the actual Obama girls like it or not.

yeah… those are definitly based on the obama girls, but i don’t see why the obamas are so upset about it. i’d be thrilled if someone based a doll on me!
it could be something to do with privacy. the girls might like it but barack and michelle might be worried about you know wat
