This year’s Toy Fair reports are going to be a little different because I didn’t actually get to go, however, Laura did and she took amazing photos for me, sent over plenty of notes and I have been having follow up phone calls with all my favorite companies. So, while its a bit different, you are still going to love what I have to share with you!
Sophia’s Heritage makes a variety of doll furniture, accessories, clothes, and dolls that you can buy at specialty retailers and on their retail website, My Doll’s Life. New to their collection this year is a range of plain white doll furniture that has been designed specifically to serve more than one function, have a smaller “footprint” and be ready to DIY. These items are shipped flat and do require assembly.
This is the loft bed which has a built in desk, storage cabinet and mirror.
In addition to the loft bed itself, the set comes with reversible bedding, a chair, hangers, and a ladder.
I like the heart cut outs and the striped bedding coordinates with a variety of patterns, too.
This is a photo from Sophia’s that shows the storage compartment, desk and mirror a little more clearly.
In addition to the loft bed, the basic furniture collection also includes a simple bed – this one fits nicely in the two-story doll house that Sophia’s now sells.
The Day Bed and Trundle is perfect for doll sleepovers – don’t forget your bunny slippers!
Another new piece that does double duty is the storage tower. Four shelves, two bins and hooks on the side are ideal for storing your dolls’ accessories. Turn the storage tower around and…
The other side of the storage tower has a mirror and a compartment to store your doll.
For younger doll fans, the crib with the storage compartment underneath will keep “little mommies” and their imaginations busy as they play.
All of these items are available now for purchase at your favorite specialty toy retailer or on the MyDollsLife.com website.
Stay tuned for more reports featuring Sophia’s and our favorite manufacturers!
