Ready for even more Toy Fair reports?
I visited the Adora Doll booth at Toy Fair and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and uniqueness of their dolls. It is so hard to really see these qualities in a doll when you are just looking at photos on a website or in a magazine! Adora carries award-winning play baby dolls for little girls in the 13″ and 16″ sizes as well as more collector focused baby/toddler dolls that are 20″ tall and some are special edition or licensed characters. They also have a line of 18″ play dolls called 4-EverFriends that have their own line of fashions.
There are six 4 Ever Friends in the basic line and they have some really fun fashions. I just ordered the Panda Outfit and look forward to having Ivy model it when it arrives.
One of the things that makes the Adora 4-Ever Friends dolls unique is their licensing agreement with the Girl Scouts of America. The Girl Scouts celebrate their 100th Anniversary this year and Adora has the official license for all things 18″ doll and Girl Scouts. You can get an 18″ doll wearing the Girl Scout uniform of your choice and they have a full line of Girl Scout fashions for 18″ dolls as well as a special Girl Scout wardrobe to keep your doll’s Girl Scout clothes in. Not only do they have great play value, it is great way to preserve a memory of your Girl Scout experience.
One of the things I saw a lot of at Toy Fair was the Wizard of Oz! However, of all the Wizard of Oz licensed dolls or toys I saw, Adora’s 18″ 4-Ever Friends Wizard of Oz dolls are by far the prettiest. I am especially fond of Dorothy and the Wicked Witch! They are made from Adora’s exclusive life-like Caressalyn vinyl and have open-close eyes and joints at the neck, shoulders and legs which makes them perfect for play or for the Wizard of Oz collector.
I’d especially like to thank Adora Dolls for giving me this cute pin that will now sit with the dolls at my desk:
I will have a bit more Adora news for you later today or tomorrow – they have a neat contest starting soon – and of course, I will be doing a review on the Panda Outfit for 18″ dolls when it arrives.

Cute! …Too bad I was never in Girl Scouts… Man, do I love those cookies.
Those are cute dolls. I was in the Girl Scouts, but only as a Senior, (the when you’re in High School).

My oldest daughter just started Brownie Girl Scouts a few months ago and she has been asking for one of these dolls. I was wondering about the quality, so I am glad to hear that they are of good quality. I think we will have to add one of the Girl Scout dolls to her wish list.

Cute dolls! BTW, I can’t see the pin they gave to you. ;o)

My 2 youngest are in Girl Scouts currently. I wish they sold the uniform without the dolls. (Well actually just the sash.) I don’t want to have to buy the doll just to get the outfit. They are definitely cute though.
These are adorable! I wish they sold a cadette uniform, but I guess no one expects any girl in cadettes to play with dolls
