In anticipation of Sunday’s Super Bowl game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, I thought it would be fun to look at some of the retired American Girl “spirit wear” and football game accessories.

From Molly – This is the retired American Girl concession stand with cheering set.

Madelon shows us a closer look at the cheering set – how did I miss this one – what a fun set.

From Delaney – This is my new doll Summer ( myag# 55 ) and I got her last Sunday! She’s wearing the retired Cheer outfit which I got in 2009. This is the first outfit I put her in other then her meet outfit; she looks great in blue! I am not sure if the shoes are the right ones; I found them in a drawer with my old Build A Bear stuff. They look like the sneakers that came with them though. The pompoms are attached by hair elastics on them which go round her wrist.

From Hannah. Maleah modeling the first Ustar oriented cheer outfit retired in 2011.

From the Doll Diaries archives, Marisol wearing the retired Dance Team outfit. You can make your own pompoms and spirit banners using the instructions from Day 77 of the 100 Days of Doll Play from a few summers ago.

Sticking with the sports theme, since the Winter Olympics are right around the corner, for next week’s Throwback Thursday feel free to send in photos of any retired American Girl SKIING or SNOWBOARDING outfits or gear. Please save me time by resizing your images to 540 pixels wide first and put THROWBACK SKI in the subject line of your email to me at share@dolldiaries.com.
