So, if it is supposed to be Spring, why did I wake up to a car covered in tiny, white snowflakes again this morning? I think Mother Nature forgot to set her alarm! Anyhow, in celebration of Spring, today’s Throwback Thursday is an opportunity to take another look at some of the retired Spring dresses from American Girl. This is long, but such a fabulous TREAT!

Let’s start by taking a quick look at three of my favorites. From left to right, our Chrissa (GOTY 2009) is wearing her Sundress with her meet outfit shoes. Molly has one of my all time favorite outfits on – Licorice’s Best Friend outfit from 2005 which came with the purse (we have it in girl size too), the pink dress, white denim jacket and pink sandals. And Ruthie is wearing the 2003 Birthday dress and sandals.

If you are looking for doll sized Easter Eggs, we found these in a bag at Hobby Lobby and the basket is also from Hobby Lobby. The little duck is from Only Hearts Club and I found it at Target for $1 or so.

From Alyssa – Saige wearing the Petal Pink outfit from 2010.

From Willsbardgirl – This is Chrissa’s Sundress from 2009.  It came with a green, pink, and periwinkle polkadot sundress, light blue sandals, and 2 light blue clips.  My grateful (to get inside) model is Chrissa herself!

A closer look at the shoes that go with the polka dot dress.

And the blue hair clips that go with it, too – I forgot about the hair clips and wonder if ours have been misplaced or are in a box they shouldn’t be in.

From Erica W. – Sally (GT7) in the Birthday Outfit from 1998.

Also from Erica W – Mai Lee (MyAG 40) in the Flower Garden outfit from 2002.

And the last one from Erica W – Kendra (MyAG 22) in the Springtime Sundress from 2008.

From Madelon – The Flower Garden dress from 2007.

From Nina – Lanie is wearing her Butterfly Outfit. It came with a coral eyelet dress, an orange cardigan, sandals, and a butterfly clip (not shown). Caroline is wearing Gwen’s meet outfit. AG sold it without the Gwen doll for a little while. It consisted of a white eyelet dress, sandals, a headband/belt, and pink underwear (not shown). Mary (JLY #23) is wearing the Sweetheart Skirt set’s blouse, shoes, and necktie. The skirt has chosen a great time to disappear :(, so she is wearing McKenna’s School leggings as well. Mary is also wearing the knee pads and helmet from the 2008 skate set. The skates are off to the side. My dolls are ready for spring!

From Sierra –  Elizabeth (MYAG #33) shows off the Flower Girl Outfit from Spring 2008. The total outfit came with the sandals, hair wreath, boquet, gift, card and book.

Also from Sierra – Rebecca models the Springtime Sundress from Spring 2008. It came with a dress, sandals, jem bobby pins, a necklace, purse and book.

The remaining photos are from Hanna K.

The first attachment is of Arista wearing the Embroidered Party Dress from 2006. It is a pretty shade of pink with pretty gold flowers and it comes with pretty gold sandals. It came with
hair gold hair clips, but don’t have them in at the time I took this.

Nellie Is modeling the Birthday Girl Dress that came out in 2005. The skirt color is a pretty purple and the t shirt has a cute cake on it. The birthday dresses usually come out during the spring time. Also comes with purple sandals. It came with a crown, but I don’t know where it is.

Arista modeling the Flower Garden outfit from 2007. This outfit is so pretty!

A close up of the flowers on it. The photo was taken with the homemade reflector from the recent post. Great idea and truly made a difference in lighting!

Arista wearing the Flower Garden Dress from 2011. I know this one is not too old it only recently retired, but I thought I would include it. For some reason it has the same name as the one from 2007.

I love the flowers on the dress and shoes!

This is of Hallie my first American Girl doll all the way back from 2002. #7. It is sad that she is retired.  She is modeling the birthday dress from 1998. I recently bought it off of eBay. It is dark purple with fruits all over it. It comes with purple jelly sandals (fisherman style). This is one of the many pretty outfits from way back.

From Tony – Elizabeth (JLY #7) is ready for Spring in Kirsten’s Apron Dress and Daisy Wreath. Happy Spring, Everyone!
