Throwback Thursday is back and today’s star is the first limited edition American Girl doll – Lindsey. Originally introduced in 2001, Lindsey wasn’t an instant hit. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t until American Girl released the second limited edition doll – or Girl of the Year, Kailey, that suddenly Lindsey became a sought after doll. Now, she is getting much more difficult to find in the secondary market and if you can find her she is usually expensive.

From Sophia – Lindsey is enjoying her ride on her scooter. She is wearing her meet outfit and is riding on her scooter, which includes the scooter, helmet, and velcro gloves so she can stay on her scooter.

This is a photo of Lindsey that a reader sent in to DollDiaries a LONG time ago – in 2009 to be exact.

I had hoped we would get a few more photos submitted this week, but it’s okay – if you take a look at the last time we featured Lindsey as our Throwback Thursday star – January of 2013 – there are lots of photos of Lindsey and her collection.

Next week’s Throwback Thursday spotlight is going to be on retired American Girl Pet Sets (retired pets on their own are fine, too – but NOT horses – we will do a separate post on them later). If you have photos of any retired American Girl pets, pet sets, or pet accessories, send them in! Please save me time by resizing your images to 540 pixels wide first and put THROWBACK PETS in the subject line of your email to me at share@dolldiaries.com.
