Up until a few years ago, one of the big things to do when visiting the American Girl Place in New York , Chicago or Los Angeles was to go see The American Girls Revue. However, in 2008 the show came to an end as American Girl wanted to try something new in their flagship stores.
This month, girls in the Madison, Wisconsin area can once again enjoy the performance based on the best-selling American Girl Historical books. The Children’s Theater of Madison is performing The American Girls Revue from October 8 – October 23 at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison.
The musical features seven “mini plays” with the original American Girl historical characters Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, Kit and Molly as highlights from their stories and important events in American history come to life.
If any of the Doll Diaries readers will be going to one of The American Girls Revue shows in Madison, we’d love to hear about it! How was the theater? What did you like most about the show? Did you take your doll(s)? Or did you see the original show when it played in New York, Chicago and L.A.? We’d love to hear about that too! Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
