  1. Ana says:

I don’t do any after-school activites, but I joined my school chorus.

  2. Holly says:

Ouch Lena!!! Guess you weren’t all the way focused or something… haven’t done that yet…. Hope it starts feeling better asap!!
O, by the way, my knee surgery was worse than expected, but I’m doing well.

  3. Lena says:

Well, here’s hoping you get better soon, Holly.

Yeah, I wasn’t paying much attention (didn’t help that I didn’t sleep either). Plus my holder was a yellow belt just learning how to hold.

On the bright side, I now hold the number 1 spot for Most Accident Prone Person Master West Has Ever Met.

  4. Lily says:

    Thanksgiving Break!!! :D

Of course, they couldn’t let us go without a really hard history test today. That just wouldn’t be right

  5. Lena says:

My district had the whole week off. I don’t know why, they just did.

  6. Gracie says:

    Hello! Is anyone on?

  7. Gracie says:

The time on here is an hour off. At least in my timezone it is.

  8. sunbeemz says:

    Yay 5 day weekend!!!!!

  9. Lily says:

In my district, we used to have the whole week off. For the past couple of years, we’ve gotten out on Tuesday (one year Wednesday). It’s rotten. I just think the educuation agencies/boards just want to make life harder than it has to be for students. No kidding, they’re bitter kill joys who enjoy giving us more graduation requirements, fewer exam exemptions, more days in the school year, and more standardized testing.

  10. Lena says:

^^^You guessed right. Last year in my district the switched high school time (7:30-2:30) with middle school start time (9:30-4:30). They said it would save money. A lot of parents and students got upset (no more babysitting younger siblings, no more after school jobs to name a few).

Needless to say, the new times saved NO money, so they switched back this year.

  11. Julie says:

Trust me, I think I can rate in the top ten most accident prone people in the USA

  12. Lily says:

Lena, do you know anything about the trunk I’m selling? Click on my name.

  13. Lena says:

Hmm…. it could be a black market thing (not saying it is), or maybe a factory error. Those have been known to occur sometimes That is an odd trunk though.

  14. Lily says:

I doubt it’s off the black market; they wouldn’t make it so heavy and of high quality. Besides, it looks identical to other trunks (except for the flip flop) and it came with other authentic American Girl items. Hopefully people will bid on it. Thanks for looking at it, Lena!

  15. Lena says:

    You’re welcome.!

I don’t know, black market things tend to be from the AG factory and missing monor accessories like shoes. But more than likely that was a factory error.

  16. Holly says:

Thanks for the get well wishes Lena. :D

  17. Lani says:

OMG OMG OMG! I am very excited!!! AG is opening a new store at Park Meadows mall south of Denver, Colorado. I will be SOOOOO close.

  18. Lani says:

BTW, it does not open till spring.

  19. Lani says:
  20. Julie says:

30 days until Christmas! OMG… Getting Julie! :)

  21. That is so great! Wow!! I can’t wait to see what Lanie looks like! Thanks, dolldiaries!

  22. Lena says:

Yay for Christmas…. and then Lanie’s officially reaveled only 6 days later!

I might go to Poland this Christmas (trip to Italy’s been canceled… I’m kinda sad bout that) and if I do, I promise to send pictures of Helena enjoying Polish Christmas celebrations… and the Polish country side.

  23. Lani says:

Poland, that’s neat, pictures would be great.

  24. Lily says:

Pictures of Lanie would be great! :)

  25. Holly says:

I’m getting Rebecca for Christmas, and Piper!! (Karito Kid) I’m really excited!! I’m also getting a girl bearded dragon. I’m naming her Karma.

  26. Julie says:

OMG! Someone on youtube said the GOTY last name is Holland

    Lanie Holland

(New Rumor, not sure if it is true, I just came across it)

From AGoffficial – click on my name to go their

  27. Lily says:

My goodness. She got a doll because she got 3 B’s and a C on her report card.

  28. Julie says:

i no, but thats not the point

(anyways it was one of her moms dolls)

    :/

LANIE HOLLAND SHOW US A PIC PLEASE

  29. Lena says:

Again, Lanie is being kept under wraps by AG, and we’re unlikley to find a pic of her before mid-December.

  30. Julie says:

Yah, But last year on youtube people had pics of Chrissa in October!
Anyways, imagine if Lanie was a Historical Doll and we will get some doll that no one expected. Hey, that might happen! AG might want to lead people into something else so NO ONE figures it out.. .Huh, that would be PRETTY AWESOME!

  31. Lena says:

Late October, and I’m pretty sure that wasn’t Chrissa the doll, but the actress playing her.

Also, asked my cousin about her, its safe to assume Lanie is the GOTY.

  32. Ana says:

Well, AG is probley brainstorming ideas for the Historical Character that will replace Kirsten. No offense AG.

  33. megan says:

    click on my name!!!

  34. megan says:

hi guys i really want some friends on here can you please talk to me

  35. Gracie says:

    Hello!

  36. Gracie says:

Lanie sounds like a more modern name. I don’t expect that a historical doll would have only two books instead of six.

  37. Ana says:

Gracie, Lanie is a GOTY. Megan, did you go to the AG store in New York?

  38. Gracie says:

I know. I was saying that it is very unlikely that she is a historical character.

  39. Julie says:

Ana, American Girl comes up with dolls about 3 years before they are released. I’m pretty sure all they need to do is put her on shelves.

And also, We never know if Lanie IS the GOTY, Lena you say that your cousin knows, but maybe she is wrong! There might be a whole other doll.

  40. Julie says:

Also Lena, I’m sorry that I wasn’t accurate with my notice dates. And I saw the actual DOLL in october, it wasn’t the actress.

  41. Ashleigh says:

Oh my! Lena how did you break your toe? sorry for the late response i’ve been busy seeing family for thanksgiving.
Oh I’m glad theres going to be a store in Denver, my cousins live in Colorado and love American Girl but have never been to the store!

  42. Ashleigh says:

Holly thats cool you’re getting Rebecca, personally i love her because she’s just like me! Lena thats cool you’re going to poland, I’ve never been out of the country but im going to france soon. (my family all speaks french) Too bad about italy, I’ve always wanted to go there, im italian, and my moms irish!

  43. Lena says:

Ana, I heard about Rebecca in the 90′s. It takes way more than three years to fully develop a historical.

Julie, my cousin works for AG. In development. She’s seen the doll and assures me that Lanie is the GOTY (although she can’t give other details. darn)

Ashleigh, I broke it kicking a pad the wrong way. Doesn’t help that they guy holding it was just learning.

I still want to go to Italy, but Christmas in Poland is kinda better. I get to see my family and visit all the historical sites. Not to mention that my town has soem very historcial place (one of the oldest wooden churches in Europe). Not bad for such a tiny town.

  44. Ashleigh says:

This eco-friendly doll is GREAT idea especially because of global warming, i think it’s great american girl is uses this doll to make a stand for the enviroment and to get girls involved, i bet the contest this year will have to do with helping your community out when it comes to the enviroment and nature! Lanie sounds so cute, I think it would be so cute if she was hawian sorry for my spelling.

  45. Ashleigh says:

Oh and Julie, Julie is such a great doll, her hair is so pretty and nice. I’d reccomend not taking out the braid though, since you can’t ever get it that tight.

  46. Ashleigh says:

    If this helps at all:
    Origin:
    Greek
    Meaning:
    Torch; bright light
    Origin:
    French
    Meaning:

  47. Ashleigh says:

Lena I bet wherever you go you’ll have a great time! Take lots of photos for us, and are you bringing a doll with you? gotta go bye!

  48. Olivia says:

    Wow. I CAN’T WAIT! I <3 AG dolls!!!
