A thank you to Sculpey for sponsoring this week at Camp Doll Diaries! I have been using Sculpey for a few years and love how easy it is to make realistic looking doll food. A cool feature is that it’s bake-able and after 15 minutes in the oven the clay hardens. Yes, quick and easy!
Ivy is picking out a few fruit tarts from the bakery.
Yum, little pastries, spread with cream and loaded with fresh fruit.
The bakery has tarts with berries today, her favorite!
Let’s make some fruit tarts together!
Supplies:
- Sculpey Clay
- flat edge tool
- cookie sheet
Roll a ball of clay between your hands. Flatten the ball to a round, 1″ wide and 1/4″ thick.
Use a tool to press the lines along the side.
Press a disk of white clay and lay in on top.
Make the fruit for the top. I made the strawberries using this tutorial. For the blueberries, roll the clay into mini balls.
To keep the fruit from falling off, place each piece on top and gentle press the fruit into the white clay.
Follow the instructions on the package to harden the tart for play. Be sure to have an adult help with the oven. I baked the clay for 15 minutes on 275.
Let them cool and they’re off for play!
These fruit tarts are lovely little desserts that are a cinch to make!
