This is one of those days where I am really kicking myself!! The 2009 Barbie Convention was held in Washington DC this past week with yesterday being open to the public and I MISSED IT! Had I been paying attention, I could have easily gone down there and taken a look at Barbie’s slick new pink VW Beetle for myself, taken pictures of her lifesize 50th anniversary dress myself, and taken in all the Barbie goodness… you guessed it… MYSELF. UGHHHH.

Anyhow, since I totally blew it, here is a recap video from AP that will give you a bit of an idea of what I missed.

The Barbie Convention is an annual event, but this year’s event was so much more special as it is Barbie’s 50th birthday. Here is more coverage of the event I missed…
