I hope you and your dolls had a great week! Let’s take a look at what everyone was up to:

Jocelyn was the winner of the Dream World Collection gymnastics leotard and shorts a few weeks back. Here is her doll Jessika modeling her new outfit for us.

Skye’s Kanani has climbed a tree. I wonder how she is going to get down?

From Madelon – My older daughter and husband went to a Renaissance Festival today and brought me this Renaissance outfit and cider mug. The outfit was made by Craftmeister, which also sells online.

From Maire – Lisa is on the ice and all ready for her figure skating competition.  To make it look like ice I put a mirror on the floor and then put a  plastic bag over it. I hope you like it. 🙂

Madelon found these cute jewelry boxes at Target and decided they make great dressers for the dolls.
From Mattie – This picture is Emily wearing homemade clothes sewn by yours truly. I sewed the tank top with a Liberty Jane pattern and I sewed the skirt without a pattern. I was happy looking at the finished product and I was excited because not many 12 year olds can sew very well.  (You did a great job Mattie!)

From Madison – Ivy’s Wild Ride!

From Bee – With it being Hispanic Heritage Month, I would like to share our New in Box (NIB) Selena Quintanilla Perez doll.  I am Mexican American.  My family is from Mexico.  When this doll came out in 1996, my Tia (aunt) bought one for each of the youngest granddaughters and great nieces.  My oldest daughter was just a baby at the time so we put it up on her shelf.  As she got older we decided to keep it NIB since this was the first doll like this, a Latina, that we knew of.  Now almost 16 years later it still sits in the same place on her bookcase.  I don’t know much about this doll, how many were made, how long in production, etc.  I think there were three different dolls with different outfits, but this was the original as it says on the box.

From Raine – Nature time.

From Rose – My dolls Josie and Molly are having a very… “sweet” tea party!

From Kaylee – There was such nice weather this week so I decided to take advantage of the sun and take a photoshoot with one of my favorite dolls, Julia. Here is one of the best pictures I took. She is wearing a dress I made from Liberty Jane Patterns and I love this photo because the angle really brings out the color of her eyes.

From Patty – My girls are very special to me and always will be. I change them at the beginning of each month, just like I did when I was younger. So for the month of July is their Summer outfits, August is School outfits, and September is Hobby outfits..I cant wait till October for one of my favorite months Fall outfits! Kit is usually one of my favorites being my first American girl doll she holds a special place in my heart.

From Agnieszka – Lillian picking September flowers.

From Nina – These are my dolls playing on an old Little Tikes play set in my back yard. From left to right: Mary, Lanie, Ruthie, and Mini Felicity.

From Cedar – A few weeks ago Josefina was wearing Nicki’s shorts set and looked so pretty.  I really like these colors on her.  Nicki, that I got for my birthday in August, in the Spooky Fun outfit.  It looks so cute, orange really suits her.

Violet, my favorite doll, just went to visit her local State park! She has had many other adventures other then this one, though. This is my favorite picture from her trip! There are more photos on her blog.

Girl of the Year Studios and some other AGTubers are doing a very sweet and worthwhile campaign to raise money and donate dolls to children in need this Christmas season. You don’t have to do anything except watch the videos and share them with your friends – easy. Watch great videos, help give dolls to girls in need. Its so simple! Go to GOTYS You Tube channel page to get all the scoop and see the videos.

We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:

  • RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.comipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
  • Email your photo to share@dolldiaries.com (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
  • Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
  • Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
