Sunday Showcase October 28

To all our Doll Diaries friends here on the  East Coast, please be super safe over the next few days and let’s hope that “Frankenstorm” or “Horrorcane Sandy” (which ever you prefer to call it) spares all of us!!

Here are the photos that arrived in my inbox this week. Enjoy!!

From Isabella –  Amelia and Julie are waiting for the school bus to pick them up.

Sharry’s dolls had a groovy Halloween Carnival – you can watch the video to see all the fun they had.

From Rachel - Here is my doll Samantha wearing the Prima Ballerina outfit I won from the Dream World Collections/Doll Diaries giveaway. She’s very excited and can’t wait to use it.

From Isabella - As you can see, Amelia is thoroughly enjoying her new Pirate Halloween costume I won in the My Pink Planet/Doll Diaries giveaway. She doesn’t want to take it off!

Madelon’s Ellowyne looks stunning in her new Russian inspired outfit.

From Venus – This is an old photo of Kanani after having a slumber party with her doll sisters and cousins. She’s just catching up on her reading before going to bed. She loves graphic novels!

From Deb - I was the blessed winner of a giveaway by The Queen’s Treasures Facebook page. I wanted to share a picture of the beautiful wardrobe I won! I just love it!!

From Darciana – An evening photoshoot with A Girl for All Time Matilda

We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:

  • RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.comipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
  • Email your photo to share@dolldiaries.com (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
  • Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
  • Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos

PS – Don’t forget to check the sidebar for all the giveaways we have going on right now and enter!! Also, the Doll Diaries Halloween Parade is in full swing and we’d love to see how your dolls are celebrating!

If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment, liking us on Facebook, or subscribing to the RSS feed updates via email or a Feedreader. Thanks!

  42. Ashly says:

Sharry: I loved the video! The costumes were beautiful! I loved the witch costume Julie was wearing. :) By the way is Woolworth real?

Madelon: What a beautiful outfit! :)

  43. Char says:

Lydia – the next giveaway is scheduled for Tuesday.

  44. Sharry A. says:

Ashly, yes, Woolworth was a real store. They finally closed in the early 90s. I have many happy memories of walking around during the Halloween and Christmas seasons. I used to buy discount records there, and my mom and I would eat at the lunch counter in the back of the store. I bought a Bionic Woman costume there when I was in 6th grade. The record that Stephanie is holding is a copy of the record I bought there when I was 11. And now for yiur view pleasure, here’s a vintage Woolworth commercial:

  45. Madelon says:

    Ashley-thank you very much.

  46. Hayley says:

Char – be safe along with everyone else it’s really really really ( like 28493938299238 more really later ) windy here but it’s gonna start down pouring like soon but Besides that hope everyone had a lovely day and my friend left his home

  47. Ashly says:

Sharry: Woolworth sounds awesome! Too bad it’s closed. :( I would go there if it was still open. :) Oh how I wish I could travel back in time.

  48. Claire M. says:

Where did you get the cute costumes Sharry?????

  49. Isabella says:

Ava- No, I did not, I got one as a birthday present, and then my neighbor offered to make me a second one to match!
Nina- I got it so that it would match my (old) school, st james. Now I am homeschooled, but my dolls still use the uniforms
    sorry for the late response!

  50. Sharry A. says:

Claire M. : I made the costumes out of plastic bags, rain ponchos, and cardstock printout of the original 70s Ben Cooper masks.
