Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!!
So, before we take a look at the wonderful photos you sent in this week, I have two quick things. First, thank you SO much for all the kind words and positive thoughts this week when I was sick. Second, I have a small request… can we PLEEEAAASSEEEE stop with the firstie, secondie things? I know you are super excited to be first to post a comment, but when all you have to say about a post is what number you are, it seems pointless.
And moving on….
From Madi – Kendal (aka McKena) is dressed as Prim from the Hunger Games!
From Elly – On March 9th I went to the Metropolitan Art Museum! I took a free art class there and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! After the art class my I asked if we could go to the American Girl doll store in NY and she said YES! When we got there she surprised me and told me that I could pick out my Saige doll or any doll of my choice!!!! I was so happy but we decided to look at the whole store before I picked my Saige. Then I saw her and checked out each display of Saige dolls and decided she was the one! I opened her up there and me, Saige, and Mia St.Clair looked outside and watched the sunset the whole ride home!
From Victoria – Hailey can’t wait until Spring!
From Grace- Avery has a new friend!! (Using MyFroggyStuff’s How to make a doll gathered skirt video my grandma and I made Avery’s skirt!)
From Madelon – We got a Barbie Pink Shoes doll in our Happy Meal recently. Even 18 inch dolls can own a Barbie doll!
From Laurie – Lady Elizabeth is wearing a cloak made from a tutorial by My Froggy Stuff.
From Diana – introducing her new Kidz n Cats doll Nikola.
And her Kidz n Cats Helen is so cute, too.
From Samantha – Recently, my doll wanted some clothes in a different size so she went shopping for some.
From Noelle – Eva enjoys playing in the rain.
From Jeneca – This was my Mia last week, enjoying the last snow of the season! The ‘dress’ is a petticoat from my A Life of Faith doll.
From Molly – I posted a review of Tanya, the Maru and Friends doll I won in your giveaway last month, to my blog (http://toferetstoybox.
From Tony – Jane (Marie-Grace) has been doing some work in the garden. She wishes everyone a fun and lucky St. Patrick’s Day.
From Avery – Here is a picture of my Julie doll. I live in Canada…so as you can see…we have lots of snow here. Julie is wearing the doll diaries tank top I won for the January Reader photo contest. Except she fancied it up with with her seventy’s styled belt and hat.
From Willsbardgirl– This photo’s entitled, A Day in the Life of a Doll Photographer.
From Elizabeth – Meet Maru! Maru is apart of the Maru and Friends 20″ doll collection. She is one of my most recent dolls added to my collection and fits in very nicely! She is truly a beauty and just fun to look at! No pictures can show her lifelike face, and gorgeous eyes!
From Quita – the doll I rescued from the Thrift Store.
From Agnieszka – Amelia on a walk. And still no traces of spring in Poland…
From Lydia – I was looking through my doll clothes to find something for my newest TY Beanie Bopper (the one with the red hair) to wear when I found these gorgeous dresses with matching accessories! I got them when I bought a trunk for one of my 18 inch dolls and completely forgot about them! The girls’ look all dressed up and ready to go to a tea party!!!
From Elizabeth – Meet Ellowyne! But around here she goes by Piper. She is a Wilde Imagination Ellowyne Doll. She is truly gorgeous! I am shocked by the detail that was put into the doll. “Piper” is truly gorgeous and I am pround to call her my first Ellowyne!
From Dally – Arwen (Saige) was enjoying the sunshine this week!
From Julia – Saige and all my other dolls are wishing you a great Saint Patrick’s Day!
From Nina – Lanie decided to climb a tree in my back yard!
From Ashleigh – Well, Lilly’s finally back and better than ever! American Girl found that it was their fault that her eye didn’t work, so they fixed her for free! Hopefully nothing else happens to her!
Gaby had fun making a collage of her Kanani photos.
Jasmine did a photoshoot with her McKenna and Julie dolls.
And to close this week’s showcase, a St. Patrick’s Day video Sharry made for us all to enjoy!
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
Have a great week! We will be featuring any retired American Girl SPRING DRESSES for this week’s Throwback Thursday.
