What have you been up to this weekend? I have been doing a BIG office/doll studio clean out and am feeling so much more organized now! Now to tackle my inbox…
Let’s start off with a photo of Addison’s Molly getting a downy dunk to get rid of those frizzy ends. I’d love to see her after photo!
From Olivia – Some things I got in a goody bag from my AG birthday party. I also got a birthday memory book. I highly recommend birthdays at AG!
From Maddy – Sabrina LOVES her chores so much (NOT)! But her cute kitchen makes it a little more fun!
From Jane – This is a small gymnastic set I made for my sister (that is her doll, number 55) It has a jump rope (my design), a ribbon pole (my design) which she can really hold because I added elastic, and of course, part of the vault craft from ‘100 days of doll play’ on Dolldiaries! I was going to make the landing platform too, but I ended up cutting the box I had up.
From Armani in the UK – This is my 7 year old’s first 18 inch doll, Designafriend, Grace, sitting in the homemade sitting room. Couches made from KFC bargain buckets!
From Laura – a video showcase of some of the outfits she has made.
From Willsbardgirl – This is a haiku I wrote and I’m sure it will resonate with many readers.
Dolls: Not just playthings
Once you came out of the box
You have had a life.
From Tony – Jane (Marie-Grace) is enjoying a Sunday stroll in her mix-n-match ensemble. Josefina’s summer dress – Caroline’s spencer jacket, bonnet, and drawstring purse – Felicity’s coral necklace – and Elizabeth’s meet shoes.
From Hailey– this is a collage of Aleshia ( blond hair) and her cousin Ruby ( black hair). On the left in a picture of me helping ruby paint a picture for her mom. Top right is a picture of Alishia and ruby looking at the AG catalog, Alishia said shes going to buy a doll for ruby. And for the bottom right, its a picture of Alishia giving ruby a gymnastics award.
From Agnieszka – Here is another portrait of one of my dolls – Sonia (Soy Tu by Paola Reina) in winter scenery.
Beautiful fairy paper dolls from PrettyIrishAG.
From Madi – Here is a photo of Kendal (McKenna) right after she got back from the doll hospital (head replacement for a bad eye).
From Sarah – My grandparents made me these doll bunk beds. I asked for them awhile ago, but my grandparents’ health hasn’t been very good. So, it’s a blessing to receive them. As you can imagine, I was super excited to receive them! My grandpa made the beds and my grandma made the sheets, pillows, and blankets. It’s so sweet of them especially because my grandmother has arthritis. Thank you for letting me show them in Sunday Showcase!
From Madelon – I ordered McKenna’s dog, Cooper, from the American Girl website on January 20 of this year. The dog arrived today, but it is no longer on the website. I was surprised to find it in January.
From Noelle – Eva is enjoying the wonderful land of Snow she loves Winter!
From Julia – Bambi decided to go for a winter walk, but she wishes it wasn’t so cold.
Also from Julia – Josefina is so excited! When I told her I will be adding Saige to our collection, she was so thrilled! She spent Saturday making a ” Welcome Saige!” sign and finding a present (the belt) for her. Right now she is adding the final touches to the sign!
From Sabrina -This is another photo of my photoshoot from last week. last week I send a picture from this photo shoot!! Here is my saige in her meet outfit! She is by my tree! Next week I am going to do another photo shoot! Like I said this is a last week photo the weather was good last week. This week it is freezing ,cold, and super windy!!!!
From Madelon – Saige celebrates National Chocolate Cake Day at her Queen’s Treasure table.
From ilovesaige: McKenna first glimpse of snow ever. Anyway she brought her light jacket she didn’t think it would freeze her. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
