Good morning! I hope you have some great adventure planned for today or at least your dolls do!
From Fawn – Betta and her bestie, Vivienne, took advantage of the Labor Day sales to get new school shoes. Her mom said she could get two pair – one practical and one whimsical – because, after all, what is life without a little whimsy. For practicality she chose the black Mary Janes because they could be worn for casual or dress. Then she took a walk on the wild side and tried on the polk-a-dot high tops with the patent leather toes. Vivienne liked the sparkly red flats with the bows and tried to persuade her to get them instead. Which pair do you think Betta chose?
I brushed and styled my six AG dolls’ hair last week. McKenna has a waterfall braid, Molly has much improved hair in pigtail braids, Kaya’s hair is down, Nicki has a messy bun, Saige has a small braid, and Felicity’s hair is in a fishtail braid. They are all playing in the yard and enjoying the cool weather. -From Emmie
From Sewbig. Celebrating “Talk Like a Pirate Day”, September 19, 2015. I had the opportunity to sew this 18th Century Shirt and Breeches from Lee & Pearl’s newest pattern. Great pattern. Modeled by one of my custom boys.
From Madelon – Grace celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day, too!
Everyone please give a warm welcome to my two new dolls Julianna Albright and Bailey Grace Thompson! Bailey is Grace GOTY 2015 and Julianna is Julie the Beforever. I got them at AGP Orlando last week and they are just stunning dolls! –AGWorldSisters
Hi everyone! One of my favorite movies of the summer was the Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants and Sadie loves it as well so she dressed up as Evie. (She’s rotten to the core!) Bye!
From American Girl Doll Crafter – All the dolls have left the house to go shopping, and no one is staying with the pets! In Part 1 of The Big Pet Mess, Pepper and Bonbon get in to some tasty trouble! What will happen next? Click the link to find out!
From Tony – Kanani is looking forward to some beach time after a busy week of school and helping out at Akina’s Shave Ice and Sweet Treats shop. She made sure to take her camera in case she sees any monk seals or turtles.
From Agnieszka – This picture shows how thrilled Matilda was to walk the medieval streets of old Torun. I wonder how I managed to take this photo as if she was alone in the street. In fact, all the streets of the old town were crowded with people!
From Luv4dolls – I took Saige outside for a little photo shoot. The stone and red wood back round was made by my Nana. And she is wearing the top from her Sweater Outfit. And the necklace from her accessories.
From melangell. Matilda went to the Renaissance Faire with me today. She is wearing her new dress made from the new Thimbles and Acorns pattern, Gigot Sleeve dress. It is an 1830’s dress, so not really Tudor period, but she is so beautiful in this dress I couldn’t change her. She is also showing off her autumn colored flowered garland made by me.
Thanks to all who sent in such amazing photos this week – you are fabulous!!
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using our favorite photo editing site Picmonkey and it saves me valuable time and web server resources)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
- Please just send in ONE photo per week for the Sunday Showcase so I can include everyone’s photos. If you have something longer or want to submit more photos visit the Get Featured page.
