Happy Sunday – and it is starting to feel a little bit like fall. I just noticed in the last few days that some of the leaves on the trees out my back window are starting to change colors. Bring on sweaters, hot cocoa and fall festivities!!
Let’s take a look at what the dolls were up to this week – and stop back later this afternoon and I will announce who won the Maryellen doll.
From Monica – Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a great week! This is one of my favorite pictures I have taken of Maryellen. I absolutely LOVE her hair down. I think her loose curls are just gorgeous, and I actually prefer her meet bow on the side. (The brown grass in this pic bugs me a ton though- you can really see the CA drought in this pic).
From Carol – Inspired by a photo of Annie Lumpkin, a student from St. Louis, Mo, who was arrested July 10, 1961 and jailed in Little Rock, Ark because she was a Freedom Rider and voting activist, I brought her to life with my interpretation of her lovely outfit. The doll is a retired Pleasant Company #11.
From Karina B – Kate, wearing a flower crown and dress that I made. I think she’s such a gorgeous doll!
From Olivia – I recently did a photo shoot, all with Grace’s collection! I totally recommend her puppy Bon Bon!!!
From Fawn – Kevin just returned from Springfield where he joined his buddies, Danny and Jason for two fun-filled weeks at Camp Wilderness. To see what the boys have been up to visit www.julienewmanstimecapsule.
From Cora – Cupcake got her first Ears and she’s wearing them to bed.
From Lilly Blossom – This week the girls make a parody of the show Dance Moms! Come check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/
From Saskia – From Saskia – I was happy to welcome Grace and one other AG doll to my home this summer. Check out my blog craftfunandmore.
From JGKelsey – Although Minnesota is not near an ocean at all, it does have more shoreline than California and Hawaii combined. That means there are lots of great lake beaches to go to. Madison is a bit of an adventurer, and sitting at the beach is just not her style. So she brought her sailboard to the beach. It was a great day. The lake was calm and clear, the wind was perfect. She sailed around for hours and didn’t even wipeout…well maybe a few times. So much fun! Please do not try this with your sailboard. It will not float and your doll will get very wet!
From Victoria – – Here is a picture from a photo shoot I did of my doll Beth at the park! My blog: http://victorialsmithauthor.
From Tony – Kanani is happy that school has started back, she even likes the new school uniform, although she will miss being able to spend so much time on the beach.
From Cordelia – Marisa, while standing on the rocky shore in front of her cabin in a National Park, is thinking how much fun she could have if only she had had the new Maplelea kayak set!
From Agnieszka – Last week Matilda and me went to Torun, a beautiful old town in the north of Poland. It was a memory trip to me because I used to live there. Torun was founded by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century and retained its original architecture. Matilda was thrilled to walk its medieval streets and very happy to send you her greetings from the main square (the Gothic town hall is on the right).
Thanks to all who sent in such amazing photos this week – you are fabulous!!
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using our favorite photo editing site Picmonkey and it saves me valuable time and web server resources)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
- Please just send in ONE photo per week for the Sunday Showcase so I can include everyone’s photos. If you have something longer or want to submit more photos visit the Get Featured page.
