Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome Moms who help make the Doll Diaries community a safe, fun and even educational site for doll lovers of ALL ages to enjoy! I can’t even begin to name all of you, but you are all appreciated so much!
From SmileySophia – Happy Mother’s Day from Molly.
From Barb & Frances – In the end, Felicity Merriman and Julie Albright tied in the final round of Dollcake Wars (a first ever) — they are both winners and share the prize! (PS – they didn’t get two shirts, that is just some fancy photo editing work by Barb!)
From AGGabi – Saige looking out the window at the rain falling.
From Megan – My doll family
From Paper Doll World – Quinn and Violet are talking in the tree house, while Perrin and Juliet lay back on the grass after their picnic.
From Quita – American Girl doll Brooke April Camille (Samantha) showing off her splits in the pink cheerleading outfit from Kmart.
From Sheliya – Kit is just waking up. She has her doll Ivy.
Katie took advantage of the nice weather and did a photo shoot with Rebecca.
From Layla – This is a picture of the car I made for my American Girl Dolls. It is made from wood we had on the farm and wheelchair wheels Dad got for the place he works. (They are the small front wheels of wheelchair) This car can hold 6 dolls. 3 in the front, and 3 in the back.
This photo gives you a better idea of how tall Layla’s car is compared to the dolls.
Here is Mckenna ( we call her Mickie ) with curled hair – from Gracekelly
The winner of the Soccer Outfit from DreamWorld Collections, Kelley, proudly shows off her doll Megan modeling it.
This is a portrait of my doll Carol (by Paola Reina) sitting on a tree and enjoying the spring sound. From Agnieszka.
From Tony – Jane (Marie-Grace) is putting the finishing touches on a heart embroidered hankie for her Mother. Happy Mother’s Day, Mama!
From Eileen – Violet and her friends had a Summer is Here dance party. This is a behind the scenes shot for Doll Diaries readers. You can see the resulting photoshoot at www.theamazingworldofviolet.blogspot.com.
From: AGInParadise – I just got Molly! I love Molly to pieces already. Today is my bday (may 10) and I went to AGP and got a ton of goodies! 😀
From Hannah: Julie makes a wish.
From Noelle – It’s a great day! Erin was in a Swim Suit!!! This is now my new quality pictures cause of my new camera!!!! It’s. a Nikon 😉
From Lorie – This is my daughter Abby’s doll #37 Emma Grace. Abby has Celiac Disease and her intestines are currently not working properly, so she had to receive an NG tube (nasal gastrict tube) for night time feeds of a medical formula. This tune enters your nose, goes down your throat and sits in your stomach. She loves her doll very much and wanted her to be just like her. So using a cork remover on my husbands pocket knife set, I made a small hole, then made it bigger by using a very small screw driver. Afterwards I measured how long the NG tube needed to be, cut off the excess and slipped it into the doll’s nose. I attached it to the dolls cheek with the special Animal Tagaderm sticker. This is exactly what my daughter Abby wears to hold her tube into place. Now they are just alike. This has been very therapeutic for my daughter.
From Laura – Saige loves her new Doll Diaries shirt.
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
