Happy Flag Day! It’s going to be a hot and humid day here which means the pool may be calling our name – how about you? It looks like everyone had another great week and there are some beautiful photos this week – take a look:

From Fawn – Every morning at Camp Doll Diaries, two campers are chosen for Flag Detail.  Today it is Kevin and CJ’s turn to hoist the flag at 9:00 a.m. with all the campers assembled at the Lodge.  After the American flag is hoisted with the WV state flag beneath it, the National Anthem is played over the loud speaker and everyone stands with their right hand over their hearts.  Campers who wish to be part of Flag Detail must first take a class on flag etiquette.  Here is what they learn:

1.  Always display the flag with the blue union field up — never display the flag upside down, except as a distress signal.
2.  Always hold the flag carefully — never let it touch anything beneath it: the ground, the floor, water or merchandise.
3.  Always keep the flag aloft and free — never carry it flat or horizontally.
4.  Always keep the flag safe and clean — never let it become torn, soiled or damaged.
5.  Always dispose of a worn flag properly, preferably by burning it.
6.  Always treat the flag with respect.

I don’t think our minis get as much attention as they should , so I decided to send in a picture of my lovely mini Josefina . From UniverseRevolves.

From Olivia – This is a picture from Easter and I never got to sending it in, but isabelle is sitting in the grass writing a postcard from grandmas house.

From MollyMcKenna‘s bake sale is on a roll inside her mom’s coffee shop. Her friends Nicki and Saige can’t deside what to buy! Felicity, Kaya, and Molly are bugging me to let them go and get something yummy!

From DanceDayz – Caroline is all set to go out in her Sloop…. My Hubby built the sloop and I crafted her Travel set.

We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:

  • RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using our favorite photo editing site Picmonkey and it saves me valuable time and web server resources)
  • Email your photo to share@dolldiaries.com (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
  • Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
  • Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
  • Please just send in ONE photo per week for the Sunday Showcase so I can include everyone’s photos. If you have something longer or want to submit more photos visit the Get Featured page.
Have a great day everyone and we’ll see you tomorrow at Camp Doll Diaries!!
