Sunday Showcase for July 22

Wow! Another week of summer just flew by which means it is time to take a look at some of the great photos that came in to my inbox this week.

From Kristen - I received my McKenna doll in the mail yesterday.  I was so excited to receive her.  I have included a few dolls welcoming McKenna to our home.  Dolls in the photo are from left to right. . . McKenna, Marianne (Gotz line from Pottery Barn Kids), Julie, Jessie (MAG), Kit, and Claire (18″ Goodwill rescue stamped Alexander Doll Co on the back of her neck). I made a sign to welcome McKenna.  I am including the directions and it can be completed in Microsoft Word. (download the sign instructions)

From Dharma - Claira, Felicity, Chrissa, and Kirsten watch Samanthas movie at the movie theater. It is dark, but thats because it is a movie theater!

From Delaney - I dressed up my doll Emily Bennett as Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter.

Julianne’s Lanie Holland on a sunny day.

From aglover – After seeing your Hearts for Hearts Girl, I just had to get Consuelo.

From Grace - Julie playing guitar in her room.

From Maire - This a picture of my dolls performing. I made the electronic piano using the idea from the 100 days of doll play.

From Erica - This is a picture of my mini doll Nellie wondering if it’s safe to go outside after a BIG storm!!

From Madelon - We stopped in at Wal-Mart to look for crafts. We found these three coin purses for 88 cents each. I think they make great bags for Gwen. The memo cube was also 88 cents.

On our Facebook page, Jen posted this adorable photo of her Hearts for Hearts Lauryce wearing a dress she made her.

Also on Facebook, Ronni posted photos of how they converted her daughter’s closet into a doll apartment and some of the creative materials they used – like display boxes from the grocery store and the like.

Sheila posted this photo of the a doll boutique they set up and it ended up being one of the most popular photos on our Facebook page this week. What a fun scene!

We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:

  • RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.comipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
  • Email your photo to share@dolldiaries.com (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
  • Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will make it easier to sort through)
  • Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
