February 2nd already – did you know it is Groundhog Day and the Super Bowl (which I just watch for the commercials) is tonight too? Anyhow, I know your dolls have been having great adventures this week. Let’s take a look.
Christi (by Paola Reina) lying on a “carpet” of evergreens. I just love this small doll and especially her hair, it looks like a flame to me. From Agnieszka.
From Tony – Jane is on her way to a birthday party for her Aunt Emily. Aunt Emily lives just on the other side of the park, but Jane hopes it doesn’t start snowing again before she gets there.
From Tara – Rebecca practices for her big Olympic debut in Sochi on Thursday.
From Sewbig – Here’s my custom Josefina wearing the unitard I made from Lee and Pearl’s new Leotard and Unitard pattern. The pattern is available as a FREE download when you sign up for L & P’s mailing list. Happy Sewing!
From Emily – It snowed where I live and I decided to take a photoshoot with Emily. She loved the snow and I had such a fun time.
From Kristen L.- Ivy and I wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year! Also, 2014 is the Year of the Wood Horse!
From Diane -Here are Saige and Lanie. They are very excited because they just got this new pink bike. Who will get to ride it first?
I guess Lanie got the first bike ride. Saige and Lanie are wearing dresses made by me using the Keepers pattern for the 50s dress. One dress is view A and one is view B.
This is my Kidz ‘n Cats Laura in the bright sunlight. From: Elizabeth
From Kathy – Caroline has arrived for the Super Bowl game. Go Broncos!
From Cordelia – Marisa and I journeyed up to our cabin in a National Park for what we thought would be a short visit. However, a blizzard closed the only access road so our visit became a long one. We put on warm pajamas, made hot chocolate and played with dolls until the road reopened.
From Heather H – Although Frozen is the new and popular Disney movie, Isabella decided to watch Tangled this week. She loved it so much she decided to dress up as Rapunzel.
From Beth – Saige is so excited about her new doll, Isabelle! She invited her friend Jess over to show her. Jess brought her doll Samantha to meet Isabelle.
Hi Char! I recently got the wig for my boy doll, a Monique Jhonney in Medium brown, size 10-11. His name is Christopher Jason, after Christofer Drew from NeverShoutNever, my favorite band. He was Lindsey, now he’s the fraternal twin to Sallie-Mae (left). Sallie-Mae was a Kristen, now with freckles and a BRAVAS International wig I cut. Chris will be posting occasionally at Chestnut Street Dolls, even though Sallie-Mae normally posts. I hope you enjoyed meeting Christopher Jason! -Juliet, Chestnut Street Dolls
From kat peachycake2345 – Paige playing right before it the wind came.
If you didn’t know, Friday was Chinese New Year! I took some pictures of my dolls on my blog, here. – Hannah/AGDTime
Here is Felicity Merriman in her lovely spring dress I made using a Simplicity pattern. I found the material at Jo-Ann’s Fabrics and Crafts store, and I thought it looked like Felicity’s original meet dress, except pink. The hat and shoes are from her tea lesson gown, both retired. Felicity poses next to “grown up Patriot” an Our Generation horse.
From Mika – Here is a photo from one of my most recent photoshoots with Saige dressing up as a mashup between Elsa and Anna.
Samantha – from Abigail.
From Ella– Oh no! Looks like someone is sick! Visit my blog to see the rest of the post.
I’m not sure who this is from – they didn’t put a name or caption on the photo – but it is very cute.
Nahji is choosing buttons for her chair. Meg_DollFanInAfrica
From Amanda E: This is my (sister’s) doll Ally and she is modeling the Ponytail Veil Pigtails that I made up. This is inspired by the original ponytail veil. Have a nice Sunday!
Lanie and Sage enjoy a snack that Isabelle served them at Mckenna’s Cupcake Corner – from AgJustForSmiles
From Julia L.- Footsteps in the snow.
Pine Valley Elementary just got new uniforms for the series they will be starting soon (hopefully within the week) on the Pine Valley Girls Club youtube channel. They are so excited and hope you will tune in! (Skirts made with the Liberty Jane pleated skirt pattern).
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
- Please just send in ONE photo per week for the Sunday Showcase so I can include everyone’s photos. If you have something longer or want to submit more photos visit the Get Featured page.
