I hope everyone had a great week whether you started back to school or are still enjoying a few more weeks of summer like we are! Thanks again to all who sent in photos of their dolls on adventures, doing crafts and just looking pretty!
From Becky – The girls are getting ready for Girl Scout camp.
From Cordelia – Katherine and Rose have had a delightful week preparing for the Camp Doll Diaries bake sale. They have been busy setting up their table, baking, and sampling each of their types of baked goods at least twice. Now they are practising their selling skills with Katherine taking the role of seller and Rose that of buyer. They hope for many customers, but will be happy to eat any leftovers!
From aginparadise – I went on a vacation to Yosemite national park recently and brought Saige along with me. Here is a picture I took quickly of her.
From Sharry – This is a picture of my new doll Alexis (renamed Cheryl) from Via-E. She’s wearing a life-jacket I made (thank you My Froggy Stuff), and a raft and paddle I made too! Background is an enlarged scrapbook paper photo. Even though Cheryl is depicted in fake water, she’s actually designed to get wet! More on that in an upcoming review. See Cheryl as the new girl Julie and her friends meet in summer camp on my blog and on YouTube. Happy Sunday!
From Tony – Jane (Marie-Grace) wasn’t able to attend Camp Doll Diaries this week. She has been busy with ballet classes and practicing for her first ballet recital. Here she is during the final dress rehearsal before the big day. Jane is so excited and can’t wait to perform for her family and friends!
From Agnieszka – Matilda and Dell on an evening walk. As you can see, Matilda is a very affectionate girl and takes her role of the big sister very seriously. And Dell just graciously agrees to be pampered.
The Jacarandas are hanging out in the AG Bakery. From Kristen L.
From Madelon – Caroline is on vacation and celebrating National Lighthouse Day!
From Elizabeth – I took a trip to Chicago a week ago and was researching doll shops to go to in Chicago and I found GiGi’s Dolls. GiGi’s Dolls was amazing! The walls were covered with all sorts of dolls from American Girl, Tonner, Barbie Silkstone, to Helen Kish. I liked the Tonner, Barbie repros and Silkstones, and the articulated 12 inch dolls a lot. But I also loved seeing the Kish dolls in person, which were beautiful! I plan to add a Kish to my collection one day. They even had Sideshow Collectible Star Wars Figurines, which I liked as well. There were so many wonderful dolls — I plan to take another trip to GiGi’s dolls.
Bethany’s new doll April gets introduced in her video.
We love seeing what you make for your dolls, adventures they have, and great finds. If you would like to submit your photo for next week’s Sunday Showcase, here are the basics:
- RESIZE your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using one of the free tools www.picmonkey.com, ipiccy.com or fotoflexer.com)
- Email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
- Put “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will help ensure yours makes it in)
- Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos
- Please just send in ONE photo per week for the Sunday Showcase so I can include everyone’s photos. If you have something longer or want to submit more photos visit the Get Featured page.
