american girl doll sister dolls

One of my daughters’ favorite things to do after they read one of their books is to act out the story in their doll play.  And of course with them being sisters they love a storyline with sisters!  So today I’m going to show you a little sisterly love!  Some of their favorite “sister dolls” are Speaking Rain, Nan, Baby Polly, Carrie, and Baby Grace.  The 14 inch dolls used are Hearts for Hearts dolls.  The infant dolls used are mini Circo babies from Target.  Circo mini babies are about 8 inches in length.

Kaya sister doll inspiration

American Girl’s Kaya, is a wonderful big sister to her adoptive sister, Speaking Rain.  Here are a few pictures from the books I used for Inspiration.

I love how Speaking Rain’s dress turned out.  This dress was made by Carol, who owns Etsy shop, SewSewCarol: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SewSewCarol.  Send Carol a message via her Etsy store if you are interested in a custom order.  She is not afraid to tackle a challenge!  Kaya’s Dress is from AG.

FelicityNanPolly

American Girl’s Felicity is another favorite character.  Here are a few pictures of her younger sisters Nan and Baby Polly that were used for inspiration.

little house on the prairie sister dolls

I did several ‘Little House on the Prairie’ posts last year.  We already had Laura and Mary Ingalls dolls/outfits.  Inspiration pictures were used from the first pilot show to recreate the doll outfits.
