Thank you Madison, a Doll Diaries reader, for sharing a scan of a mailer she received announcing the debut of Rebecca Rubin, the next historical doll from American Girl.
She definitely is pretty and while she has some similarities to Samantha, she is truly beautiful and unique. Her story sounds very exciting – she is a Russian Jewish immigrant living in a row house on the lower east side in New York City in the early 20th century. She dreams of being an actress but her family has other ideas. I may be reading the books before my girls do!

hi guys,i carn’t really type that good bcuz i hrurt my finger REALLY bad and its really sore,but i’ll try. ok,so i did a lot of posts before,but they did’nt work so hopefullyu this one will. so yeah,i got 2 used porcalin dolls today! they need a little tlc but for the most part they’re gorgeous! also,i got new glasses today! my old ones were’nt strong enough for me to see,so i had to take an eye test last week,and today i finally got them! they’re bright pinkish-red with a lot of pretty designs! so my advice is if you have to get new glasses or get glasses for the first time,instead of dreading it bcuz opf the eye exam,focus on getting preety glasses! also,when you pick them out,make sure that they’re not too small or too big for your eyes!

Hi. I haven’t been on for a real long time, but I’ve decided only to come on if there is a new post on here. I still like Doll Diaries a lot, but I’m not going to check it everyday, only to see if there is something new. I don’t want to become addicted.
Hello again. It rained here today, on and off and I got soaked! *says in cheesy sarcastic voice* Yeah, my bus was a little late so we had to stand in the POURING rain. I got drenched. I really hope that my soccer game is canceled tomorrow, not because I don’t want to play, but because I have something else at the same time and I don’t want to be late to that……Urg. I hope it rains tonight and soaks the field and I don’t have to go! The odd part is I really want to play soccer. Ah, the irony….
Ooops…just noticed the “p” I put in Josefina’s name – I was typing really fast and didn’t even catch it! Also, I don’t have bangs like Samantha…
We had company over for dinner and I ate so much that I think I am going to burst any minute now!
I wish AG would make a Titanic doll because the storie’s WWAAYY too good to miss…and no offence, but Rebecca doesn’t sound very interesting. They should have put her like 1924, a more realistic acting date to me…but I’m not sure. But they should make a Titanic doll, my opinions.
1914 *is* a real acting date. That was the beginning of movies.
I’d love it if they made like the GOTYs only historical, to cover the “minor” events in history. Then you could get your Titanic doll.

Chrysanthamum, depends on the outfit. Most historical dresses are too short. Long pants look like capris. Shirts and skirts look ok, and some shoes fit, but not all.

hey! i saw the hannah montana movie today! i have to say, it was pretty good! i don’t like a lot of disney songs,but this one song in her movie called butterfly fly away was kind of ‘mazing(short 4 amazing! lol)! and jackson nd robby ray and her grandma were hilarious in it! oh,and there were a lot of horse scenes! (my fav. animal!)(besides bunnies! Hehe)
