This isn’t a very big picture, but if you look closely this doll looks like she could be Ruthie, the new American Girl doll who is Kit’s best friend. Ruthie has dark brown hair with curls and looks like she is wearing a purple dress.
Time will tell if this was American Girl’s way of giving us a sneak peek without giving away the surprise.

You wouldn’t believe how many videos on youtube there are concerning the Ruthie sightings. I’ve found at least five or six.
Okay, we all know that this IS definitely Ruthie because that’s the collar of one of her dresses from the trailer. You can see Madison Davenport as Ruthie wearing this dress on the kit kittredge official website. There are photos with sounds from the movie where she’s wearing it, and the trailer, wayyy in the beginning when Kit announces Florence Stone to the Treehouse Club. That is Ruthie, no ‘but’s or or’s ‘ so enough wondering if this is her or not. I’m not mad at anyreason, I’m just trying to explain that THIS IS RUTHIE!!!

So today I got my discovery girl magazine featuring a scavenger hunt, and i was looking at the prizes. one of them was a SOUNDTRACK TO THE KIT KITTREDGE MOVIE!! its nothing worth sending in a photo of since the photo is the one representing the movie, but BOY O BOY DO WE HAVE OURSELVES MUCH MORE THAN A MOVIE WITH NEW CHARACTERS!! we have a new doll, book, and now A SOUNDTRACK?! WHOOPEE!!!!!!

I believe her release date is June first, but her book is available on amazon now, and in Barnes and Noble on the 19th of May. So it could be before that…
Im leaning towards May 29th as her official release date but she’ll show up in the mag on June 1st.

i think june first and on the book site may 19th is just when they are going to ship them to the stores, so it will take two weeks to get there at least and the books always come out at bookstores early
YOU CAN SEE THE REAL RUTHIE AT A BOOKSTORE CALLED JOSEPHBETH! She has mary janes (NOT plastic like Molly’s etc), a pretty purple dress like in the pic Char posted, and blue socks. Her eyes are GRAY.

i looked on wiki, and guess what?! i found the WHOLE entire description of Ruthie! BUT it doesn’t show a pic. i REALLY want RUTHIE! my sis and i are going to see the Kit movie on the day it comes out, especially with my Ruthie doll and her Kit doll! (i gave her my Kit doll so that we could have dolls that look like both of us). my mom made me promise many things in order for me to get Ruthie, and so i did promise to all of the 12 things i had to do in order to get my Ruthie!
