Ruthie’s Story Summary

Even though Ruthie’s story, Really Truly Ruthie, won’t be released until June, the summary is already out and it is available to pre-order.

Ruthie Smithens, a girl who believes in fairy tales and happy endings, would do almost anything to help her best friend, Kit Kittredge, whose family has been hard hit by the Depression. But Ruthie has learned the hard way that offers of help, even between friends, are tricky. When Ruthie finds out some bad news about the Kittredges’ house while at her father’s bank, she has to find a way to help the Kittredges’ reach Kit’s Aunt Millie, so that there can be at least the chance of a happy ending!

Really Truly Ruthie is another book for American Girl by Valerie Tripp - the author of many of the American Girl books.

I asked about Ruthie and kept asking for about 4 letters and then they answered, but also added the other two movies about Addy and Josefina. Sarah will have short hair like in the books (a lot like Kit’s hair), and Clara will look almost like Josefina, I suspect.

they didn’t show a pic, but if you look at Sarah’s picture in the first book, it’s very short, but in the last book Sarah’s hair is about shoulder length. addy, ruthie, and mia are my favorite dolls! i might get addy for addy’s movie next year. we’re studying the civil war in class, and we got to read an excerpt from Addy’s first book! ever since i saw my best friend (she’s African-American) when i was in pre-school, she and i have both adored Addy and her culture!
