At the beginning of the week you saw Isabelle and Carly discussing this week’s events in the drama room. Did you notice the little tag on Carly’s bag? It is literally a 5 minute craft that is just such a fun little detail!
Earlier this month I received a shipment of fun stationery from our friends at Expressionery. It just so happens that Laura is one of their designers, so of course I picked out some fun designs from her line. They challenged a group of us to come up with a fun craft using their products and I decided to make matching bag tags for Natalie and Carly. You can use any stationery, your favorite cards, or even stickers for this craft. Get creative and use what you have on hand.
Natalie has been so busy with the play and her little Me and My Peeps theater girl is so cute that this was the inspiration piece for the matching bag tags I decided to make.
I cut a business card size piece of the purple cards and used it as the background for my design. I cut out the Me and My Peep girl and Natalie’s name and used Aleene’s Tacky Tape Runner to anchor them on the background. I ran it through the laminating machine using the luggage tag pocket and presto, Natalie has a cute bag tag for her theater backpack. To make the doll sized one, I used a smaller piece and reduced the Me and My Peeps girl on my copier. Instead of using my laminator, I used packing tape to create the laminated effect.
So, before you toss that cute card or stationery paper, think about what you could make from it first! And if you want some ADORABLE Me and My Peeps personalized stationery for yourself, stop over to Expressionery and look for the Laura Kelly collection. So cute!!
