So a bunch of people got an email today from American Girl with a teaser picture of the new historical character, Rebecca.
Basically it is their sneak peek photo that gives us just enough of a look at her face to know she is going to have light brown hair, hazel eyes and a very cool velvet hat. She will be released May 31 and all the American Girl stores will have special events in her honor.

When I was at the Chicago store the employees were hush hush on the details of Rebecca, but I am sure the stores are getting ready for some rearranging to make way for her collection.

Star Trek wasn’t that violent, really. No bad words, but a lot of people died. Selena, if you want to see it, you should cause it was good. Because I liked the movie so much, I even started watching the original series (from the 60′s), and I am officially a Star Trek geek. Yeah, I even am making Sonali an Uhura costume.
Actually, my bunk bed huge enough for four people. There’s my bed that’s queen sized and sleeps two, and the couch under it can take two. So Ikea is like the ultumite slumber party place…….

Kit and Julie are the most heaily promoted dolls now, because Julie’s “new” (won’t be in a week!) and Kit had her movie.
Kylie, I really don’t know. Lissie was still available durring her dark time, what happened to Sam is different. Nothing is available for her, she’s gone from the historical line.
Except books and the mini doll. Those stay.

hey lena- im thinking about getting sonali and i wanted to know the good and bad things about her. i really am not sure about rebecca because she looks so much like all the rest of my dolls.
Well, Beckie has a new hair color, so it should be different…
Anyway, my Nali is very pretty. She looks good in everything I’ve put her in. Her hair is a little tangly, but if you spray it with a little bit of watter (like from a misting bottle) it should be fine. If you read some of the reviews on AG, they say her cloth body’s orange. It’s not. Mine’s not perfectly skin tone, but it looks ok if she has a swim suit of tank top of something. Besides, none of my AG’s has a body that perfectly matches their arms, legs, and head color.
The only bad thing about her meet outfit is that her pants are a little hard to put on, but otherwise I love it. The tshirt and sweater thingy are seperate, so you can mix and match with other clothes.
I love me Nali (she’s not canon Sonali) and wish you fun withwhoever you’ll pick to be your new doll.

Kylie, no one knows who the GOTY 2010 will be. Well, cept the people at AG. Although three french names were trademarked: Emmaline, Laurette, and Marie-Claire. I’m hoping for a Louisiana Purchase historical, but the trademarks match those of GOTYs. It was about this time last year that we found the trademarks for Chrissa, Sonali, and Lanie, so it could be the next GOTY.

r. anne, i know this is kind of a l8 comment, but my family background is irish, swedish, scottish, and a little british. the british part isnt really british, just my grandma was born there, but her parents were both raised in ireland, and my other great grandma was scottish, but she married an irishman, so i’m, like, about 98% irish, and then my other great grandma on my father’s side was directly from sweden, so ya.
I’d personally prefer a creole girl at the time of the louisiana Purchase, maybe with a cajun bf.

there’s this book about a girl who’s jewish, it has something to do with her star of david (thx pioneer, i forgot what theyre called) but i cant remeber what its called….. it looks very good though

oh and number the stars isnt about that girls star of david… shes not jewish, but her bff is and when the nazis try to take her bff away she hides her in her apartment and acts like they’re sisters, and her bff gives her star of david to the main girl to hide when she escapes denmark, where the book takes place. it is a very good book and i highly recommend it if u like reading about WWII europe, like i do.
ohhhh, ok I’ll go find a summary of it. Yeah, I really like to read about WWll in Europe, i find it very interesting, and although a lot of it is sad, for some reason its really important to me

Selena, I meant the old series. William Shatner wasn’t very good, IMO. But I do love him in the new movie. The movie favorites are Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura. I won’t spoil it, but I’ll say I love both Spocks.
