A Trip to the Pet Store photo story

Hello everyone, today we’re showing you our trip to the pet store. Emily and Toasty were shopping for some special treats or two. They love shopping here because the staff is always helpful and friendly. Today McKenna was waiting on them and showing them all the new merchandise. She also told them to try a sample of the new pet food seen in the little bowls behind the register and to be sure to check out the adoption and lost pet board they had just added. Emily thanked her and said they would love to before they head home.

There is always something for every pet. There are horse treats and a bucket of apples. They have dog beds, bowls, and pretty leashes. We made several leashes using ribbon and by sewing loops on the ends so the dolls can hold them. You can also just tie the loops of ribbon if you don’t sew. We placed small bouncy balls and cardboard dog bones in jars. Not to forget our furry rabbit friends, we carry lettuce, carrots, and bedding for the cages.

Kit came by with Grace to check out the pet food and bedding supplies.

Heres a close-up of the supplies. We sewed little bags together out of scrap fabrics and then we created labels using clipart pictures. The labels are held on by scapbook glue tape. The names are always fun to come up with. We have Diggity Dog Dog Food, Blue Ribbon Horse Feed, and Best Rabbit Bedding. All the labels say “Keeps their tails a wagging”! We cut up small pieces of brown grocery sacks for the bedding and put small bits of cereal in the horse feed bags. You can basically use any bags and create your own labels by drawing them on. Use whatever you have and have fun, We do!

Ivy comes in a few times a week and helps walk some of the animals up for adoption. We always love playing pet store and set up the store a lot. We are always adding new things and maybe we can share them again sometime.
