Wowza Kabowza, it is almost time to be making New Year’s Resolutions. For kids, this can be tricky. I hope that this little crafty fun activity will support your girls (and their dolls) in coming up with some ways to make the new year magnificent.
I found this little easel at Michael’s Craft Store for less than $5 and immediately new just what to do with it. To create this project, I also used embroidery floss from Coats and Clark.
I cut nine pieces of different colored flosses 20 inches long and then separated them into threes. I braided them together to be long enough to go across one side of the easel then used hot glue to adhere the braided strip down.
I actually cut it too long so I had enough left to braid a bracelet too.
Coming up with resolution ideas can be challenging so here are some starters.
You can download the PDF file here. If you don’t have an easel, you can print this out, cut it up and staple it into a little book too. Don’t forget, the other side of the easel is a chalkboard, a great place to write messages starting with “Happy New Year 2014”!
Happy Celebrating, Growing and Trying New Things,
