The doll world has been buzzing about the new mini dolls from Our Generation the past few days and after seeing them on Instagram and on the AG Minis of Snickerdoodle blog, I knew we needed at least one. They are so cute!

Natalie went to Target today with her brother to get some storage bins he needs to pack for college and while she was there she took tons of photos of the new OG stuff (I’ll post it later this week). She also picked out mini Lana and mini Ayla who is being sent as a surprise to a brave little girl who is in the hospital right now. She immediately took Lana out of the box and started photographing.

Meet mini Lana and mini Ayla. They are two of the six Our Generation mini dolls currently in stores.

Lana comes dressed exactly as her 18″ version right down to the boots! The dolls have inset eyes and plenty of thick hair – I think they use better quality hair on the minis than they have on the 18″ dolls. Their bodies are soft and limbs are vinyl. The only thing I find odd is the necks – they are a little bulky or as Rhonda at AG Minis of Snickerdoodle Street says – giraffe like! Either way, I still really like the faces on these dolls.

Lana without her rain coat – its the same black and white top the 18″ version is wearing. You can see her neckline a bit better, too – it looks like she is wearing a skin colored turtleneck.

Lana was happy to meet mini Isabelle. She is a little taller than Izzy but they look like great friends already.

Oh yeah – of course they had to do a clothes swap! And they can wear each other’s clothes without any issues – right down to the shoes. These are going to be a lot of fun to mix and match.

At $9.99, the Our Generation mini dolls are a really great value. They are the perfect size to take on adventures, have sweet faces, good quality hair and work well with other mini dolls on the market.

So, have you seen them in your local Target yet? Have you added any to your collection?
