New American Girl Catalog Came - Mia’s New Collection

Our catalog came today!! It has a picture of Mia on the front and her whole collection inside. All I can say is - too cute!!

I love the hockey jersey and the skates are so cute. More photos of Mia’s collection, the new Just Like You items and even some new spring items for Bitty Baby.

Mia is cute, but if I get another doll she will be #21 (Angelica Rose Holly aka Hazel Holly) or a doll with black hair/violet eyes (aka Victoria-Anastazia, the character from many of my short stories). I love her sleeping items though, and her iPod is fantastic. I am thinking of buying it as a replacement part.
BTW–isn’t 10 a little young for something like an iPod? Most people I know got theirs in 6th grade or after.

The JLY outfits do not interest me that much, but I have cut back on buying outfits except for my Jess. (I sew for my Nellie too). I like the bitty baby tea tray but I don’t have anything in the right scale for it. The trellis is lovely, and I may purchase it when and if I ever have enough $$ to buy such large items.

Probably I’ll get Mia’s books (the minis) and her iPod and accessories as replacement parts. If I can, I’ll ask for her bed/desk/wardrobe. I wish that had come out BEFORE I got a desk and bed for my dolls! Oh well, they have enough stuff anyway for 2 desks and 2 wardrobes, and 2 dolls in each of 2 beds won’t house all 7.

Our 6 year old got an iPod for her birthday this year and our 9 year old got hers when she was 7, so I think it is very realistic for Mia to have one. Many of the girls at the ice rink my son plays hockey at take their iPods on the ice to practice their routines.
