I got a note from Willow, Silence and Darrion who went to the American Girl store this week for Caroline’s big debut. Not only did they take photos of Caroline’s displays, but they took photos of just about all the new stuff while they were at it.

My personal favorite pieces of her collection! I have not decided if we will get Caroline or not, but I do plan on getting her Birthday dress, her Holiday Gown her Winter Coat and her Party Set (the table settings).

I am kind of sad that Caroline is not a redhead. I like her a lot and I plan to read all of her books, but they need a new redhead. They retired Felicity, and I would like to get a redheaded doll. Love her name, though!
Everyone complains that her meet is Felicity’s summer dress dyed pink, yet they want red hair to make her look even more like a Not!Felicity?
This makes me want that birthday set even more.
I just mean I want another redhead. I did not complain about the dress. I like this dress and I liked Felicity’s dress. Besides, Felicity and Caroline have a 38-year difference. The dresses are two different styles.

Actually, that style dress didn’t really leave fashion between Felicity’s time and Caroline’s. The main difference is Felicity’s was for kids, Caroline’s was for all women. But the general style is the same. Julie’s birthday dress is also very similar (although I haven’t heard any complaints about that).

I love her Holiday Gown! The hairpiece headband was a great idea 
I haven’t been an AG customer for very long, but one thing that surprised me about Caroline’s collection is that the various dresses don’t come with stockings or pantalettes even though they are an important part of the historic look. Has it always been like that? For now I’m planning just to sew for DD’s doll and can make extra pantalettes but for those of you don’t sew or have the meet outfit, I wonder what you think of the dresses as sold rather than as displayed.
Rebecca’s newest dresses show bare legs. Only her meet, school, and hannukah dress have tights, the rest don’t. None of Cecile’s outfits have had socks, either. I do have spare white socks, I plan to use, but yes, it bothers me.
I got Caroline in the mail yesterday and all of her outfits except her nightgown. I am very pleased! SHE IS THE BEST!!!! Her outfits are great quality, as is her Travel Basket. I totally recommend her!!!
Her meet bonnet is amazing. I compared her to my Lanie doll….. she does not look that much like her… I also compared Felicity’s Summer Gown to her Meet outfit… they are not exact.
