70’s week is a great time to throwback to my actual days as a Girl Scout!  I was a Brownie and a Junior during those years and had so much fun learning and growing with my troop and my friends.  Back then, we didn’t do SWAPS like they do now so I am so thankful for Jordan and Zoe so I have a sort of redo…a chance to do the newer things as a parent.  These mini doll sized Girl Scout SWAPS are so cute and so fun.

If you are wondering, SWAPS are Special Whatchamatcallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere.  Girls exchange them at events and camps.  They are little crafty ways to spread love and create friendship.

Here’s how I did it!

I cut up felt (Kunin Group) into little pieces to create rainbow clouds, smiley faces and hearts.

Then I glued the pieces together with Aleene’s Quick Dry Fabric Fusion.

I added little messages so the SWAPS had deeper meaning.

Can you tell which doll started with which SWAPS before she gave hers away?  I know, what a fun puzzle!

If you want to make real size SWAPS for yourself or your troop, you can find some cute ones on my blog HERE.

Cheer and Happy Creating,
