I personally bought 4 of my 12 dolls with my own money, so I know how expensive they are. I agree that sometimes we (collectors!!) can go overboard sometimes though. The prices for Nicki on ebay are ridiculous now, topping $200!! I would never pay that much for a single doll. If I had that much money in my hands I would put it in my bank account, or donate to a charity! I have bought TONS of other things besides american girl stuff.
