Actually her real name is Lauryce. They had originally wanted to name her Rue but had to change it to Lauryce.

I am pretty sure it has to do with the Hunger Games character Rue and other licensed dolls based on her character
Not to mention for a doll from New Orleans who speaks at least some French (her diary has some French), Rue’s a pretty stupid name. It’s French for “road” or “street”.
