Karen here and I love mini dolls, teapots, fairies and Halloween so this post is one I am very excited to share! Using items I found at my dollar store I was able to create some adorable no sew and easy costumes for the mini dolls for Halloween.
To make your own you will need:
- Your Mini Dolls
- A pipe cleaner
- Small peel and stick wings (3 in a package at my dollar store for $1.25)
- A Spool of 2.5 or 3 inch ribbon
Step 1- Assemble your supplies and undress your mini doll.
Step 2- Unroll the ribbon from the spool and wrap it around your doll at least one and a half times.
Step 3- Use your scissors to cut the ribbon from the spool. This will be your fairy “dress”
Step 4- Use your scissors to cut a pipe cleaner in half. Use it to secure the ribbon “dress” in place as a belt. Twist it into place.
Step 5- Turn your doll over and move her hair so you can place the wings on the back of the dress. Peel back the backing and press the wings into place. Now your fairy is ready to live in or protect your teapot!
*If you have a teapot that is not in use or has a broken lid they make excellent flower pots. I used an inexpensive artificial flower arrangement I got from Michael’s the Craft store and bent the stems up so that they fit inside the teapot. This is one of my favorite things to put on my tea table and since I broke the lid of the teapot the teapot now has a second life.
