Karen here and today I am sharing a quick craft to make your mini dolls a Shamrock hat for St. Patrick’s day. This is a simple and fun craft you can do with kids of all ages and uses recycled items to create something new!
To make your own Shamrock Hat for your mini dolls you will need:
- A roll of green Duck Tape Brand Duck Tape
- Green gem stickers
- Ribbon, elastic or plastic beading cord
- A Plastic lid from a soda bottle
- A slightly larger lid for tracing I used a vitamin jar lid
- Piece of construction paper
- Your mini doll
Step 1- Assemble all your supplies. Lay your larger lid on your construction paper and use your pencil to trace around the lid. Use your scissors to cut it out.
Step 2- Measure your ribbon or cord around your dolls head as shown above. Trim and tape the cord into place on the paper circle you just cut out.
Step 3- Use more tape to secure and cover your soda bottle lid in the center of your paper circle.
Step 4- Cut out a Shamrock Shape from your Duck Tape. My Duck Tape’s Pattern made it really easy, Simply fold over and cut out the shape you need. Then add a gem sticker to the center and make a small tape loop out of your tape and tape it in place along the hats brim.
Step 5- Place your dolls head for play!
