Karen here and today I am sharing my Tulip Fabric Paint Tutorial for “Je T’aime Paris” (I love Paris) Pillows to spruce up your dolls room!
To make your own you will need:
- Tulip Fabric Paint
- Scrap Fabric
- Kunin Felt
- Fiber Fill Stuffing
- Hot glue gun and glue
Step 1- Assemble your supplies and organize your work area.
Step 2- Use your scissors to cut out your felt or fabric 3 inches by 4 inches. These are going to be the fronts of the pillows that you are going to use the fabric paint to write on.
Step 3- Use your fabric paint to write the word “Paris” or ” Je t’aime Paris” or simply “I love Paris” and allow your paint to dry. I left mine to dry over night.
Once your fabric paint is dry move on to step 4
Step 4- Lay your fabric painted pillow fronts on top of fabric or felt that will be the backing. Cut out a matching piece.
Step 5- Plug in your hot glue gun. Once the glue is heated up run a line of glue down one edge of the fabric pillow and top with the fabric you have chosen to use for the pillow backing. Allow to dry and then repeat on two other sides. Once they have dried turn your fabric right side out.
Step 6- Use your fiber fill to stuff your pillow and then turn the open edges of your pillow inwards and use another line of glue to seal the pillow shut.
Step 7- Tie and glue a bow to the front of your pillow.
Step 8- Repeat steps 4-7 on your remaining painted pillow fronts. Then display them on your dolls bed or couch!
