Well, If AG is retiring the mystery series, it hopefully means AG is making a new line of books( and maybe some dolls).

Hey, i just noticed the email says “hard cover”. Generally, hard covers have a shorter shelf life than paperbacks. So the books aren’t going away, just the hard cover versions.

With quality comes a price.Target dolls are cheep, but are they made as well as AGs? AGs are meant to be heirlooms passed down to children and grandchildren, while Target dolls are just to play today, toss tomorrow.

Nicki had very curly caramel hair, blue eyes, freckles, and the original mold.
Beckie has medium curly light brown hair with russet highlights, hazel eyes, no freckles, and the Josefina mold. Plus, her skin’s darker.
she looks like Ruthie/Nicki/Elizabeth.

Actually, I’ve researched Kaya’s name and every place I’ve looked it KY-YAH, that’s how everyone says it, I’m positive its not KEE-yah. I’d say that’s an african name…
ooooh, yeah Kaya’s hair gets super messy! My cousins have her and they have to keep her hair in an “up” style all the time because it tangles soooo easily and it gets very messy if you leave it down. I love how her smile shows no teeth (just like real indians!), although the downside is I wouldn’t be able to put doll braces on her
That’s what CS and my cousin said. It is Ky-yaah in the books, but that Ky can be seen as both Kee and Kay. I’ve heard CS and my cousin pronounce it Kee-yah.
Cept, you know, historical Kaya wouldn’t have had braces. And she’d (historically) have her hair in braids all the time.
But I do know people who made her modern. You HAVE to use water when you brush her hair, other wise it tanges. Same with Josefina.
i made a corner in my doll room for kaya. i made a tepee out of deer skin, and the frame out of tree limbs. i put real indian artifacts around her. i live in a once indian village (called ohatchee) so, i can find indian pottery, arrowheads, etc.
My cat stole my doll room. I have to keep my girls on a bunk bed I found years ago, and have no “real” displays for them. But I do hope to at least get each girls school stuff (cept desks) and hae my dad make a shelf so I can have a little school there.
my dad has made a doll swing, a bunkbed, and triple bunk beds for my dolls. not to mention the many chairs.

See, that’s what I love about both Addy’s desk and the old AGT desk…. they sit two girls! Cept Addy’s desk is a pain to get (mostly because of rediculus prices), and I’m not sure if I can even find a good condition AGT desk.

My first hamster had a tumor, too, and I know I would feel devastated if my bird (only pet as of now) got sick (or had a tumor, but I am not sure that tumors in birds are common, but they are common in hamsters). I hope she will make a full and speedy recovery! Does the vet think she will be ok?

I only had 1 AG girl clothing – Kirsten’s nightgown. I got it from my cousins the same year I got Kirsten, so when I was 9. That nightgown itched like crazy and ended up giving it away before I outgrew it. I tried to love it but it was just to uncomfortable! Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, I’m a juniors small (cause I’m skinny) and my Kit Pjs are size L according to the tag, and they still fit me, so I’d say yes Holly. And if the clothes don’t fit when you get them, you can simply call CS and return them.

The AG pj’s sound comfy, I’m just sooo tall that shirts are too short on me, pants fit fine, I wear juniors too, I outgrew girls, there clothes aren’t as fashionable, lol.
I’ve never bought any AG clothes. You eventually outgrow them, they’re often uncomfortable, expensive, and you can’t display them like a doll or a doll outfit. Just my personal opinion, but I’m sure a lot of people love their AG clothes.

Just be aware, all of AG’s PJs are made of polyester. I checked last night, and IMO, for cheep fabric, they’re a bit overpriced.

Well, JLY clothes have 2 year shelf life. The dance outfit came out in 07, so I’d say it’s run it’s course. Expet a lot of other things that came out in 07 to start dissapearing as well.

I’ve only gotten AG shirts, I’ve outgrown them all though. The old coconut play outfit, the one with the blue coconut shirt and khaki pants with a jean jacket, well I got the coconut shirt for me, got matching khaki pants and got a jean jacket and I looked just like my doll. I don’t really care if I dress like my doll, because its not like I carry my dolls around so people can see that our outfits match. I think I’m a little too old for that, I’m sure adults would think its “cute”, but other kids would think I’m a “loser”

holly, i know you asked this along time ago but i do have some girl sized pjs im not shure which ones they are called i think they are the snugly snow pjs they are the ones that have a white short sleeved shirt layered over a grey long sleeve shirt and white pants with blue and purple snow flakes all over them. anyway they are SUPER itchy. they look cool but i never sleep with them. and the grey long sleeve part is super tight around my arms and it feels like it is sufficating my arms. never again will i buy pjs from ag

Abby- to get some money this is what I did, I entered a contest and I won 100$. Try to enter a contest that awards you some money and try to enter one that you dont think very many people will enter, that way you have better chances of winning. If you win and they give you a gift-card(like they did for me) try asking your parents if they need anything from that store and ask them if they will trade you money for the gift card. That is the only way that I can think of how to get money fast. Sorry if that doesnt help.

Car Washing For Your Family Tips
-scrub the bugs off well
-do it when the sun isn’t shining on the car you’re washing
-don’t forget the wheels
-fill a bucket up with hot water and liquid dishwashing soap like Dawn
-use a larger dish rag to scrub the car (not washcloth size – too small)
-use a garden hose, preferably on the shower setting
-use two towels to dry the car off because they get soaked fast
well, i did buy a couple of dolls that retired recently, thier meet accessories and a couple outfits plus coats for each of them. but i decided that since i realized i wouldnt be able to buy any more of thier stuff and it a lot a lot of money i would sell them, and i get a little extra since they were unavilible and then i would buy a different ones sicne i could get more of their stuff and i really wanted to buy a ag horse. i love horses. my parents dont care what i buy or if i sell it or return it. its my allowance. i wihs i knew about this company many many years ago. i oculd have a few of the dolls i want already.

priscilla – to earn money, try getting a job or two walking dogs and/or feeding cats. I started doing this in 5th grade. Currently, I walk two dogs (they belong to the same person) in the afternoon 5 days a week. I get paid $2.50 for a 20-30 minute walk (sometimes more it if is a nice day) and have really gotten to know the dogs. I love my job! I also feed cats for three families when they go away. I just take whatever payment they give me. I have gotten as much as $10 a day doing this, $5 for a feed (some cats, especially those on medication, need to be fed 2x/day) + 15 minutes of playing with the cat(s). Multiply that by a few days and that’s a lot of money! Get to know your “bosses.” And don’t forget to save, save, save! Only buy the essentials with the money you earn. Whenever you feel tempted to buy something you don’t need, just picture yourself opening Rebecca.
I walk dogs and feed cats because babysitting would take up too much time and I love animals. I don’t get an allowance (my parents say they don’t believe in it, which I agree with) so all the spending money I have comes from my “work” and a little comes from my grandma, since she gives us $$ whenever we visit her.

They very likley are just discontinuing the hard covers, because they do have a shorter shelf life than paperback, and it does say “hard cover”.
