The first week of camp is almost done – can you even believe it? Be sure to send in your photos from camp this week and check back this afternoon for a fun giveaway, too! But first, what a great way to celebrate a week of camp with yummy s’mores around the campfire.
Karen here with a quick tutorial on how to make your dolls some classic camp treats. S’mores have been a longstanding camp tradition and today I am showing you a very quick tutorial on how you can make your dolls a plate of these yummy summer treats.
To make your own you will need:
- Fun Foam in Dark Brown and White
- Tan Felt
- A package of glue dots or a hot glue gun
- A Ruler
- Your Doll
- A Doll sized plate ( I have used a recycled lid from a package of Pillsbury cinnamon buns)
Step 1- Assemble all your supplies and if you are using a glue gun plug it in to warm up.
Step 2- Measure and cut a 2 inch square from your tan felt. Then cut that square into 4 equal pieces as shown in the photos above.
Step 3- Repeat step 2 on the white fun foam and the dark brown fun foam.
Step 4- Lay out your shapes in the layers they will appear. Use a dab of glue or a glue dot to glue your s’more together. Start with the bottom layer of tan felt, then a dab of glue then the white fun foam, then the brown fun foam then another layer of the felt. Repeat on the remaining three s’mores once they are dry you can hand them to your dolls. They should fit nicely in their hands. You can also layer them on the plate for display as shown in the photos above.
I hope you have fun creating these yummy doll camp treats!
